Known as "Too Too Xi Nu Omega, we serve in Chicago, IL. In 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority became America's first Greek-letter organization established by Black college women. Her roots date back to Howard University, Washington, D.C., where the idea for formation was conceived by Ethel Hedgeman Lyle of St. After her incorporation as a perpetual body in 1913, Alpha Kappa Alpha gradually branched out and became the channel through which selected college-trained women improved the socioeconomic conditions in their city, state, nation, and the world. Our membership is comprised of college-educated women that serve ub a variety of professions and who contribute in local communities. 💚 Happy Too Too Tuesday AKAlades! 💚🌸

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® — Xi Nu Omega Chapter proudly celebrates our sister, Soror Samantha, on her recent accomplishments as a Master of Nursing graduate from Rush University and certified Xtreme Hip Hop Step Coach!

Samantha’s journey to nursing is a story of purpose, growth, and a continued commitment to serving others. After beginning her professional career in education as a School Psychologist, she developed a deep understanding of advocacy, communication, collaboration, and the importance of creating environments where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her transition from education to nursing was not a departure from her calling to serve—it was an expansion of it.

At Rush University, Samantha completed the Generalist Entry Master’s in Nursing program, graduating with honors. During her nursing education, she demonstrated a commitment not only to academic excellence, but also to leadership and service. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, recognizing her dedication to scholarship, leadership, and excellence in the nursing profession.

Samantha recently added another accomplishment to her growing list: becoming a certified Xtreme Hip Hop Step Coach! Through movement, music, and community, she looks forward to creating spaces that encourage people to prioritize wellness, confidence, connection, and fun.
From school psychologist to nurse, nursing student leader to graduate, and now Xtreme Hip Hop Step Coach, Samantha’s journey is a reminder that growth does not always mean starting over. Sometimes, it means carrying the lessons, values, and purpose from one chapter into the next.

Samantha, your journey reflects excellence, leadership, service, resilience, and a willingness to embrace new possibilities. Xi Nu Omega celebrates not only what you have accomplished, but the impact you continue to make along the way.

Xi Nu Omega celebrates our sister, Marcia Williams, Cluster I Coordinator.

As Cluster I prepares to gather in Chicago, we are proud to recognize Marcia for her leadership, service, and commitment in helping to bring this year’s retreat together.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® — Xi Nu Omega Chapter proudly celebrates our sister , LaDonna Williams, M.Ed on her new role as the new Principal of North Lawndale College Prep!

A proud Chicago native and lifelong educator, Soror Williams has dedicated her career to cultivating excellence, empowering students, and transforming educational communities. Her distinguished journey includes serving as Principal of Hefferan STEM Elementary, as well as impactful roles as a teacher, assistant principal, and social services case manager.
Known for her student-centered leadership, commitment to high standards, and unwavering belief in the potential of both students and educators.

Ladonna exemplifies what it means to lead with purpose, vision, and heart.
We are incredibly proud to celebrate this well-deserved achievement and the continued elevation of a remarkable woman whose leadership will undoubtedly inspire and create lasting impact.
