👀 Our first cool weather plant hitchhiker has arrived! This TINY Bahaman Anole's finder managed to corral them into a big catcher, and then we transferred them to a critter keeper. Fortunately for this little guy, vet tech Brittany always has room for our smallest friends. 🫶 Time for a fruit fly snack and some recovery time.

Hooray to the Critch family for making their foster flock official! In the photo from left to right: Morwen, Forest, Ocean, Beaktrice, Io, and Gimli. Morwen and Gimli were originally adopted in 2024, while Forest, Ocean, Beakatrice and Io came back to CLEAR earlier this year when their family dynamic changed. We love you all, and we love repeat adoptions!

A note from Jessica:

Hey CLEARies, with 82 days in the year remaining, we surpassed 2025's total rescues TODAY. We've had ‼️ 83 ‼️ rescues YTD for 2026, a new record.

It's time for 2026's first 💫 CHIRP TO ACTION!!!! 💫

Yesterday was a $2,500+ vet day (and it would have been worse if not for the perpetual generosity of our amazing partners at Chicago Exotics Animal Hospital), we have 15 animals representing 9 species in 12 AMAZING foster homes, and TEN of them are facing complex medical issues. They need multiple vet visits, rides to/from the vet, medication, equipment, enclosures, exemplary husbandry, and devoted TLC. Shout out to our fosters, Stray Squad, and transport volunteers- they have been working SO HARD. 🫠

So, if you have time on your hands and a vehicle at your disposal- we need transporters- email me! If you want to put boots on the ground and join your neighborhood's Stray Squad, email me! [email protected]

If you can help offset the very active month we're having, you know 100% of your contribution goes directly towards our critters.

Lots of love and gratitude from the City of Chicago's ONLY licensed exotic animal rescue. You know what we always say- there's no "I" in CLEAR, and we can't do it without YOU!
