***SCHOLARSHIP FOR INCOMING NEIU STUDENTS***

“Northeastern Illinois University is offering a one-time scholarship program for first-year, full-time students. 🎓 The scholarship will cover the remaining costs of tuition and fees after all other scholarships and grants are applied - meaning that new students attending NEIU can earn a 4-year degree for the cost of 3 years! Students admitted to NEIU automatically qualify, but must also submit a completed FAFSA, intent to enroll form for NEIU and register for classes. Learn more at admissions.neiu.edu.”

Assyrian Community Fund is pleased to announce our inaugural Teen Leadership Program (TLP). The TLP provides leadership development for Assyrian American teens between the ages of 13 to 19 located in the Chicagoland area.

The program is designed to empower teen confidence, explore different career fields, prepare teens for college and trade schools, while encouraging community building.

We aim to inspire teens to lead through a global Assyrian perspective, informed by the rich wisdom and insights of Assyrian thought and culture.

"On display in the 8900 block of Bronx Avenue last week was a snow sculpture of a mythical winged bull with a human head, an Assyrian symbol, said Odicho Kifarkis. The Skokie resident created the snow sculpture and plans to continue creating more works of art throughout the season."

WHAT IS THE ASSYRIAN COMMUNITY FUND? The Assyrian Community Fund of Greater Chicago is an Illinois non-profit corporation set up to assist families and individuals impacted greatly by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Communities throughout the Chicago area are in need of language assistance and professional guidance through telemedicine networks as well as assistance with navigating federal, state, and city resources online not limited to: * stable housing * emergency shelter * emotional support services * financial assistance programs Moreover, language support and guidance for essential services such as emergency food and supplies, health services, and financial assistance programs.
