The Chicago Conscious Closet Club, part of Chicago Fair Trade, is a community of Chicagoans with an interest in ethical clothing and fashion who learn from each other, share ideas, and have fun.

Couldn’t make it to our last swap, or just can’t get enough of the swapping fun? Join us this Thursday, October 23 at the Chicago Cultural Center for a night of live music Under the Dome with Chicago Musicians Rich Robbins & Demetruest and a Chicago Fair Trade Clothing Swap!

Bring clean (no stains) items you want to add to the swap and leave with a whole new look. Folks can take up to 5 items! PLUS be ready to pose and show your new look, or the one you arrived in, at our Under the Dome Step & Repeat.

It is officially ! Join us for our first event of the week starting TONIGHT, Friday, October 10th: Our crowd favorite clothing swap! Tickets are selling fast for the preview party tonight from 6-9pm, so don’t miss out. Can’t make it to the preview? We will be getting more donations throughout the weekend, so stop by Saturday and Sunday for more great thrifted finds! Check our bio for ticket info.

While the museum is currently closed for renovations, we have plenty of other locations where you can drop off your clothing swap donations ahead of the big event! Swipe through to see the locations accepting donations now through October 8 and the hours for donation. No time to drop off? You can also bring your donations with you to the swap, Oct 10-12!

Did you know that the Conscious Closet Club is run by local non-profit ? It’s the first day of their most critical Flash Fundraiser to date. If you’re able, we would be so grateful for your donation via the link in ’s bio. Chicago Fair Trade is such an incredible organization that does a whole bunch — including all of our CCC programming! — on a modest budget. Our need for grassroots dollars is crucial to our future.

We’re sharing a message from Chicago Fair Trade’s small but mighty staff of two, Katherine and Nancy, about why CFT’s work is so important: “Fair trade allows all of us to vote for a better world with our dollars. We need more people in the U.S. to know what fair trade is and demand fair trade products. That’s where Chicago Fair Trade comes in!”
