These NHLS Speaker Series events are all about scaling sport for mental health, and at the center of the conversation is what it really takes to shift sport from environments that can harm to ones that actively heal.

When coaches are trained in youth development, something shifts—for them, and for the kids they work with. That’s not just our experience, it’s what the data shows.

Winning Beyond the Game, the Challenge Implementation Study conducted by Institutes for Research surveyed more than 13,800 coaches across four years. Among the findings:

    •    88% said training made them a better coach
    •    66% observed athletes experiencing more joy in their sport
    •    72% believed athletes were more likely to keep playing.
