The work of the “Talking Trash” project is dedicated to the restoration of physical displays of dignity for African Americans and underserved communities. This dedication is demonstrated via support and resources focused on the abatement of litter; the beautification of urban outdoor environments; and sustainable growth through economic education and training LIBRA-Now works with a network of mission-aligned agencies and partners civic, religious, business, and arts organizations.

Come out and join Talking Trash Chicago for a Pop Up Clean up: Community Business The Quarry on Saturday, September 20th, from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM!

We’re rolling up our sleeves to support a Black-owned business on the South Side while keeping our community clean and vibrant. This is more than just a cleanup—it’s a chance to connect, give back, and make an impact together.

We’re returning to Grand Crossing for a day of cleanup and gardening to bring fresh life to our neighborhood turnarounds. This community-powered event is all about coming together to keep our spaces clean, green, and thriving.
