Celebrating the graduates on the CS Dream Team - our incredible interns! 🎓

We're so incredibly proud to share that three of our CS interns, all Scholars from the Class of 2026, are officially college grads!

Aniyah Davies, Marketing and Communications Intern, graduated from Kent State University Honors College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising, an Associate of Science in Business, and an Associate of Science in Fashion Media

Angel Quintana, Development Intern, graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and a minor in Latino and Latin American Studies

Steven Chen, Career & Leadership Intern, graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, Investment & Banking and Real Estate & Urban Land Economics

We're so proud of all that they've accomplished so far, and we can't wait to see what their next steps are as they begin their CS Alumni journey!

Last night, our Scholar Ambassadors and Leadership Council came out to our new office for the end of year social, marking the close of their time as incredible representatives of the organization! We’re so proud of all of the work that this group of young leaders has accomplished this year, and we can’t wait to see all that they’re able to take on in college 🎓 ps: stay to the end for a special karaoke treat (hint - the class of 2030 is *not* throwing away their shot)

This just in - we're EXTENDING our new mentor application deadline through Tuesday, June 23rd, and we're still looking for 25 new mentors to make a difference in the life of our Scholars!

Mentors at Chicago Scholars aren't just there for help at workshops and events - they become trusted friends and advisors who guide Scholars through college application season, into their first year on campus, and beyond. Many of our Alumni still talk about how their Mentors were part of the reason they made it through college and into their careers.

Join us next Friday at 1 p.m. for the first in our "Ask an Alumni" series, where our CS community members can tune in to hear from a featured Scholar Alum and ask questions about their college and professional journey, as well as their experience as a Scholar. In this first session, we'll be featuring Isaiah Moore, a Scholar Alum from the Class of 2019, and a current Alumni Leadership Association Board Member. Isaiah is a Chicago-based educator with a Masters in Urban Planning from UIC and a Bachelors degree from Governors State University. He is a community advocate and an aspiring public servant committed to advancing progressive change within the political and educational systems of the United States. Guided by faith, determination, empathy, and a belief in diverse perspectives, he has dedicated his career to community development, youth empowerment, and public service.

Calling all CS Community Members! Our new Mentor application closes today, and we still need 40 new Mentors for our incoming Class of 2031 Scholars. Mentors work together in pairs of teams of three with their cohort of Scholars, assuring that Scholars receive guidance from adults across career fields and life experiences.

Kick off your summer internship with the skills, confidence, and mindset to make the most of the opportunity! From June 1st through the 4th, we're inviting current Scholars to join us for our first Summer Internship Accelerator, a three-part workshop to help you access and make the most out of your summer internship!

The Chicago Scholars Summer Internship Accelerator is designed to help Scholars navigate professional environments, communicate effectively, and build meaningful connections that can open doors long after the internship ends.

Through interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and real-world career guidance, participants will gain practical tools to stand out, contribute with confidence, and turn their internship experience into long-term career momentum.

The sessions on June 1st and June 2nd will take place in person at the Chicago Board of Trade Building, and the session on June 4th will be held virtually. Scholars who attend all of the sessions will also be entered into a raffle!
