The Gaia Home Garden Club has completed their last workshop! It's been an amazing season of sustainable growth, perseverance, and guidance!

Even with weeks of inclement weather, the Gaia Garden Club rallied and managed to produce amazing home gardens throughout Chicago! We welcomed new and old members, introduced new herbs and produce, and created more avenues for members to discuss, advise, and learn from each other on this sustainable farming journey!

Thank you to our farming guru, Joannée. Her years of permaculture and teaching sustainable farming methods provided everyone with a wealth of information. From environmentally friendly pest control methods to the best seasons to grow and harvest crops, Gaia Home Garden Club members were able to absorb that knowledge and create amazing gardens that produced fresh and nutritious food!

But also, a huge thank you to all the members who joined us for all of our Gaia Home Garden Club workshops this year! Thank you for participating, encouraging one another, and taking a meaningful step towards a more sustainable future for everyone!

Next year, the Gaia Home Garden Club will build on our lessons, increase our knowledge, and create an even bigger sustainable footprint in Chicago! We can't wait to see everyone in 2027!!! 🧑🏿‍🌾👩🏼‍🌾👨🏾‍🌾

We started with wood, soil, and seedlings.

We utilized organic gardening techniques, were attentive to different watering and care needs, and managed pests and weeds with a natural mindset.

Our efforts paid off with a full and bountiful garden that produced tomatoes, peppers, kale, strawberries, and even edible flowers.

As time goes on, our Gaia Garden continues to thrive and produce fruits and vegetables using sustainable methods. So many new additions call the Gaia Garden home including potatoes, watermelon, and an array of herbs!

Our garden will continue to grow and incorporate more varieties and healthy and nutritious produce and herbs!

The Gaia Art Exhibition was a blast!

Our COO, Marianne, made a presentation about the unique art with different types of stones and the long tradition of friends forever.

Everyone who came our enjoyed the art, the community garden, the fresh taco bar, and the live music by Russoul/PUM !

Thank you to everyone who came out and we can't wait to see everyone at the next event.

We had the honor of hosting the Honorable Women's event at the Gaia Climate Center recently.

This amazing event was held to show support and community for survivors of human trafficking and vigilance against this horrendous crime. We were proud to be a part of this important event for Honorable Women's Inc. !

Had an amazing garden event this past weekend! The topic of conversation being...salt. Not your regular table salt but SUPER SALT which can be more flavorful and potentially have less sodium!

Thinking about growing broccoli? 🥦

While it's not the most difficult vegetable to grow, it does require a little more attention than many other produce.

According to YouShouldGrow.com, broccoli thrives with consistent watering, regular feeding, and cool temperatures. For the best quality, keep it between 65°F and 80°F to prevent bitterness and premature flowering.

With the right timing and care, you'll be rewarded with healthy heads straight from the garden! 🌱
