TORCH RUN, TORCH RUN… WHERE YOU BEEN!?
ALL AROUND REGION III AND WE ARE GOING AGAIN!
On April 28, 2026, Region III brought the heat with the Law Enforcement Torch Run Relay, and it did NOT disappoint.
It all kicked off in Laramie at War Memorial Stadium, home of the Cowboys, where the Flame of Hope hit the ground running. From there, it powered through the streets of Laramie and made its way to the Albany County Courthouse. Then the handoff at the Laramie/Albany County Line kept the fire alive and moving.
Next stop? Cheyenne! And Region III showed UP. The Torch rolled straight through the heart of the city before finishing strong on the steps of the Wyoming State Capitol.
But we weren’t done yet.
Then the handoff at the Laramie/Goshen County Line continued to keep the fire alive, movind and heading into Torrington.
But then came one of the best moments of the entire run…
Torrington Telegram reporter, Brenna Ralston, showed up thinking she was covering the story… instead, she became part of it. She laced up her shoes and hit the pavement alongside Trooper Robinett, carrying the Flame of Hope through Torrington like a pro!
THAT is what this run is all about.
Energy. Commitment. Community. And showing up for something bigger than ourselves.
The 2026 Law Enforcement Torch Run Relay was an absolute success and none of it happens without the heart behind it all: our Special Olympics athletes of Region III and Wyoming. We run for YOU! Good luck at State Games in Gillette, we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
Massive shoutout to the agencies who made it happen:
