The Chester Challenge Supporters We support the Chester Challenge hiking experience. Visit 6 trails and receive a pin or patch! There are winter pins and patches also. Dynamite Hill/Caroline H.

Also, we post scenic pictures and posts from other hiking experiences, primarily in the Adirondack Mtns of New York. Experience one of the most well-known adventures in the Adirondacks: the Town of Chester's Hiking Trails! Visit at least six trails and receive the Chester Challenge pin or patch! Go to the Town Clerk's office at the town hall, or the North Warren Chamber of Commerce (NWCC) info cen

ter at Dynamite Hill to register and receive your pin or patch! There is a winter pin and patch also, for hiking the trails between Dec 21 and Mar 21.

2. Fish Memorial Trails
3. Cougar (behind NWCS school)
4. Palmer Pond (state trail)
5. Stewart Mountain
6. Kipp Mountain
7. Meade Mountain & Beckman Mountain
8. Green Hill & Catamount Mountain (at Stone Bridge and Caves)
Also, Scaroon Manor trails can be hiked as an alternate. Note: some trails are closed during big game hunting season.

Early morning at a beaver swamp near North Hudson. Hard to believe I was snowshoeing on 10-12" of snow in single digit temperatures just last week! Two days later I was working shirtless in my back yard, only 20 miles south of here - with no snow, no frost in the ground, and almost 80 degrees!

Bridge over Hudson River south of Tahawas, leads to the Opalescent Club. The public can now walk over the bridge (there is a gate) and access some new state land and the river. Have to park on the west side of the Tahawas Rd.
