🇺🇸 Founding Fathers Lead the Way in Chesterland’s 225th Parade

The Chester Grave Hunters are proud to see our own B.J. Kresnye stepping into history once again as Justice Miner, Chester Township’s founding father and one of the Grand Parade Marshals for the 2026 West Geauga Kiwanis Independence Day Parade!

Alongside Dale Fellows as Gen. George Washington, these portrayals bring our community’s roots to life, connecting Chesterland’s Revolutionary beginnings with its 225th anniversary celebration.

Justice Miner’s story — from his service under Washington at West Point to his role in settling Chester Township in 1801 — reminds us that every grave holds a story worth preserving.

America 250 & Chesterland 225 Fireworks – July 3rd at Dusk!

Join us Friday, July 3, for the America 250 & Chesterland 225 Fireworks Celebration. The launch site will be Chester Township Recycle Park (closed to the public), with viewing available throughout most of the Chester Township commercial district. Fireworks begin at dusk. We look forward to celebrating with our community!
