That's a Wrap! We're taking a brief break, but the excitement continues with hikes, Rockets, Cub Scout Summer Camp, and more adventures on the horizon! A huge thank you to Camp Hazen for providing the perfect venue for our End of the Year Awards Ceremony! Remember, Cubs - you've got one more week of school to shine - Do Your Best!!

Wondering what comes after Cub Scouts once a child joins a troop? Great events like this! These members of Troop 13 earned 1st place in the overall teamwork and skills portion of the days event at the Camporee held at Camp Workcoeman - awesome Job Troop 13! They competed against 80 patrols from around the state and MA. The camporee had 1000 scouts ages 12-18!

Another Pack Family Campout in the Books!
Huge thanks to Camp Hazen for allowing us to camp in the Oak Village! Being local helped us make sure that Cub Scouts were able to still make it to their various sports games on a sunny Saturday and camp out with the Pack.

We enjoyed a hike out to the Fairy Village where we spiffed it up after all the snow this past winter,very funny skits lead by our Webelos and an amazing capture the flag (soccer balls) game where everyone participated and Many S’mores were devoured at the campfire.

We have a new breakfast tradition pancake taco thanks to Cubmaster Flagge and all the families who contributed to the breakfast this morning.

Looking forward to the end of the school year and some neat summer adventures with our pack!!

Bear Goes Fishing!! Early rising Cub Scouts - Pack 13 Bear Den attended the Deep River Park and Rec Fishing Derby at Plattwood Park to fish and earn an elective adventure! Thanks to the Bear Den parents for getting up and out of the house early on a Saturday morning and thanks to Deep River Park & Rec for keeping the fishing derby tradition alive!

⛵️Huge Thank You to the Essex Corinthian Yacht Club and Tiger Dads Mr Pelletier and Mr Melius for hosting a great Tiger & Wolf den meeting on 5/7! What a perfect location to learn about PFD safety as we completed our Tiger Boats and Floats and Wolf Safety in Numbers Adventures!! Everyone had a great time ⛵️

Vernal Pools and Emerging Life in The Preserve, Saturday, April 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Bob Russo, ecologist and Ivoryton resident, will lead a hike in The Preserve to help you search for salamanders, frogs and plants emerging from the long winter. He will describe the biological and geological features that make the vernal pool areas unique and bountiful.

Meet at the first/East Preserve parking lot. Approximately 1½ hours duration (for the event; hike is 10-15 mins in/out) over easy to moderate terrain. Bring tall waterproof boots and nets if you have them.

Open to all ages. Kid Friendly: recommended for Ages 6+.

Parking is limited so please carpool if possible. This hike is weather dependent so please check our page for updates. Dogs are not permitted at this event.

2026 MapleFest Camp Out @ June Norcross Webster Scout Reservation!

Thanks to the staff and Volunteers who made the event so fun and educational - truly a treat and neat way for some of our younger cubs to come see the camp!

Great time outside in the fresh air all day! Complete with after dinner walk too. We Played a few board games: circa 1987 Cub Scout Board Game (the cards trivia style for laughs), Star Wars Risk with creative rules, Jenga and Uno were also a hit. Made up some of their own outside games too & met new Cub friends from Newington and Kensington!
