A few photos of our club members from the District 1 4H show Sand Ring yesterday. All the members did great there, especially in helping each other out where they could. Several did qualify for the State 4H show in October. I think everyone had a good time.

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers who did all the show prep (entries, show book, participant packets, jump set up and trail set up before the show and ring crews during the show). We especially want to thank those who helped the Chester County volunteers with trail set up on Friday and the Saturday re-set and class changes (you know who you are).

Register for State Leadership Conference Jr!

Join us on October 3 at Penn State's University Park Campus for a day-long workshop that introduces leadership skills to our young, up-and-coming leaders.

This event is open to 4-H'ers ages 10-13. It offers instruction on foundational leadership skills to prepare younger members to take on more roles as they continue to grow in 4-H. Participants will engage in small- and large-group activities and hands-on breakout workshops during the conference.

In case you cannot open the document attached to an email sent earlier, here are the classes with the number in each class. Classes are VERY small so you need to be ready.

Schooling happens over fences in the Permaglex ting (ring 1) while the Hunter judge is doing the EWD Classes in Ring 3 and mini jumping. All showmanship classes are in the Sand Ring (Ring 2) under the western judge. Trail follows showmanship in the Sand Ring.

Driving is in Ring 3 when all classes are done in the Permaflex ring.
