Fresh Food Pantry

Fresh Food Pantry Fighting food insecurity, one harvest at a time. One of the ways we do that is by planting gardens and sharing the harvest with families in need.

Help Us Build the Foundation for Growth

Our mission is simple — to love our neighbors by ensuring that everyone has access to fresh, nutritious food. This year, we’re focused on building the infrastructure that makes that possible — expanding our growing space, improving irrigation, fencing our orchard, installing cold storage, and preparing our site for long-term sustainability. These are big st

eps, and we can’t take them alone. Your partnership makes it possible for Fresh Food Pantry to keep growing — not just food, but capacity, stability, and impact. Whether through a recurring monthly gift, a major donation, or a business partnership, your support helps us build the foundation that will feed families for years to come. https://freshfoodpantry.org/donate/

We planted and harvested a LOT of garlic so families could have some every single week. Once it comes out of the field - it has to cure! Out of the sun, and with some airflow. This was a perfect day to harvest and I got to spend it with some of the loviest people out there. What a blessing!!

While we are harvesting out of the orchard- it really still isn’t complete. There’s work left to do on the soil and drainage infrastructure yet. We are so grateful to have been chosen for the Healthy Soils Grant to help us fund big things like a semi-truck worth of organic mushroom compost! We actually already had a load- so we now have well over 100 yards of compost ready to be moved. 🤩🙌🏼🤗

We are so grateful to be able to support food pantries who are doing an amazing job reaching their communities. Buffalow Friends and Family is reaching a food desert area and we are honored to be able to bring our fresh harvest!

There was a big donation of strawberries today- but sadly like MANY produce donations - especially fruit - is given on the brink of spoil. 😭😩. Since these were moldy they all had to be tossed in the dumpster! SAD.

This is a big reason we aim to GROW, PICK, and GIVE ASAP.

What if we could flip the script? What if instead of telling people they should be grateful for poor leftovers- we could actually meet need with intention? What if we honored those in need the same way we would want our own children cared for? Real people deserve real food and we are grateful to play a part in strengthening our community.

We go through a lot of effort and expense to improve the soil here because ultimately that’s what decides how the food comes out. These pictures show the EXACT same plant. One grown in our good soil in our rows, the other in the native clay.

HUGE difference in the health of the plant, how it flourishes, and then how much food it will give back!

We are so grateful to sign the papers for a grant we have been working towards for a whole year!

Our local Natural Resources Conservation Service has selected Fresh Food Pantry for a High tunnel grant to help us with sustainable practices, extended seasons, and improved soil and plant health!

This is going to be such an incredible addition to our garden and I couldn’t be more excited!!! (Next up, construction!)

Also, Tina has been amazing to work with. So kind, consistent and helpful! She comes and visits out garden regularly and loves the work we are doing. She is a joy to be around and has been so helpful with this process. What a blessing to us!
