Hey, Cheney! 👋

Fall is quickly approaching and we wanted to highlight one of Cheney’s best destinations before it gets a little too chilly to enjoy, Fish Lake Trail!

Fish Lake Trail spans from Cheney to Downtown Spokane with a brief stretch of trail closed that can be detoured by a few miles spent on Cheney-Spokane Road 🌲🌲🌲

Things to do:
Stop at the lake and paddle board, swim, or play at the park!
Take your dog for a (leashed) walk
Observe wildlife
Walk, run, bike, rollerblade, or skateboard

Enjoy this collection of moments from the trail through various seasons over the years. 🌧️🌞🍂🌈

You may have noticed a handful of ladies out and about this morning, making a little difference in our small town! ❤️

Cheney Heart & Soul partnered with Cheney Members Association to hit the streets and repaint 15 fire hydrants throughout downtown Cheney. It was a simple project that made a fast, noticeable difference!

Small projects like this may seem simple, but they add up. Each improvement helps make our downtown feel more welcoming, vibrant, safe, and cared for. When we come together to tackle the little things, those small changes can create a big impact.

So, what do you want to see us do next? 👀

Fire prevention is a major priority for our community this year, and the Inland Northwest chapter of the Red Cross is stepping up to help.

They’re providing free smoke alarms to support at-risk residents and make homes safer for everyone. We are looking for volunteers to help our fellow community members.
