The Manson Village Green is green! Thanks to volunteers and Antonio's great landscaping crew who laid the new sod. (Please help us by keeping off the grass for a few weeks until the barriers are down.) Yesterday we welcomed My Maria's and wait for PUD to complete the electric work. The Village Green project continues ahead of schedule and within budget. What a great community we live in!

Manson's Village Green now has sidewalks thanks to our volunteers Hal Killian, Stu Fraser, Brian Patterson, Patrick Rogers, and Larry Hibbard and Ignacio's Concrete from Entiat. Great job! With all the volunteers and donors, we are ahead of schedule to plant grass and trees and open the park by early summer. Proving that a wonderful community can come together on a project that will serve the public for many years to come. Bravo!

Now that spring is right around the corner, we are looking for volunteers to help with ongoing projects at the NEW Manson Village Green. One idea has been to build a circular-style feature that could serve as planter and seating area around a large tree. If you’re willing to lend a hand or have an idea of how to accomplish this, we would love your help now! There will be additional areas where volunteers can make a huge impact this spring. If this interests you, please contact Lake Chelan Community Service Council and let us know your areas of expertise and interest. LCCSC @ [email protected]

The Village Green project in Manson continues to move forward to become a beautiful park on the lake! Our top priority is to demolish the old gas station as soon as possible. This, of course, requires funding. The cost to remove the building is estimated at $50,000, with an additional $8,000 required for asbestos abatement prior to removal. With your help we hope to have our community park ready for all by next summer.
As we approach the end of the year, please consider including the Lake Chelan Community Services Council (LCCSC) in your charitable giving. Your tax deductible contribution will help us take the next step towards transforming this land into a welcoming community park. Donations may be sent to: LCCSC, PO Box 691, Manson, WA 98831. Thank you for all your support!

Our Community Services Council, a nonprofit service organization is aware of recent tagging on the future community park property at 91 Wapato Way. We reported this to the police and are in the process of painting it out. (Many thanks to Sergeant Huddleston for offering to paint it out himself). We live in a great community!
