Sacred Hearts Unchained Sacred Hearts Unchained is a nonprofit dedicated to Recovery & Rescue. Drop-off locations will be announced soon.

Nonprofit dedicated to Recovery & Relief from rescues, bridging the gap through fostering. We connect people in recovery with animals in shelters, giving both a chance to heal together.https://www.sacredheartsrecovery.com/sacred-hearts-unchained We connect people in recovery with animals waiting for a second chance in shelters, creating opportunities for healing on both sides. Whether it’s fosterin

g, spending time with a dog for a day, or volunteering at a shelter, these connections give animals love, care, and socialization, helping them gain confidence and become more adoptable. Fostering in a recovery home provides a stable, supportive environment for the animals while giving residents companionship, accountability, and purpose. Through these shared moments, trust is rebuilt, joy is rediscovered, and lives are quietly transformed—one bond, one walk, one day at a time.
💌 Donations Make Healing Possible
Right now, the most important way to help is through donations—both monetary and gifts. Your support allows us to help local shelters, encourage fostering, and lay the foundation for our faith-based sanctuary and long-term programs where people and animals can continue to heal together.
📦 How You Can Donate or Contribute
We’re placing donation boxes at local meetings for essentials like dog food, toys, collars, bedding, cat food, and cat toys. If you’d like to allow a donation box at your business or recovery home, please email us at: [email protected]

✨ Our Long-Term Dream
We are working toward creating a faith-based re-entry sanctuary for men coming off the streets or out of prison—men who need structure, hope, and a chance to rebuild. Alongside them, we envision a rescue where animals who have been abandoned, left behind, or facing euthanasia in overcrowded shelters can find care and healing. Some will be saved off the streets, others fostered so their owners can enter treatment, and all will be cared for through a long-term program built on the bond between people and animals.
➡️ Sacred Hearts Unchained is a fully formed nonprofit, currently awaiting official tax-exempt status. Every gift goes directly to supporting local shelters, recovery homes, and the building of our sanctuary and long-term programs.
🙏 We’re still in the process of building, so please follow our page, share our mission, and help us grow. Together, we can change lives—one person, one animal, one second chance at a time.

Meet Twin. ❤️

Nine weeks ago, he came into this world with no say in where he’d end up. Like so many animals, his future depended entirely on whether someone would choose to care.

Today, Twin is safe.

He’s a sweet red nose Pit Bull with the biggest heart, the softest snuggles, and the kind of innocent trust that reminds you just how powerful kindness can be. He’s been dewormed, vaccinated, is pending his neuter appointment when he’s old enough, and is doing great with puppy pads while he waits for the family he’s been hoping for.

Watching dogs like Twin learn they’re safe is what inspired Sacred Hearts Unchained. Every day, we watch brokenness turn into hope—in the people rebuilding their lives through recovery and in the animals who simply needed someone to believe they were worth saving.

We can’t change where their story began. But together, we can change how it ends.

Twin’s adoption fee is $100. If you think your home might be the happy ending he’s been waiting for, call 423-206-7324 to schedule a meet and greet.

If you’d like to help us give more animals the same chance Twin was given, you can donate at SacredHeartsRecovery.com or through Cash App $lisaw615 or Venmo .

Because every life deserves the chance to be loved. And sometimes, saving them saves us too.

Meet the newest member of the Sacred Hearts family. ❤️

He doesn’t have a name just yet—we’ll let our residents decide that at Wednesday night’s house meeting.

Today this sweet boy made his first trip to the vet. He’s estimated to be around 8 months old. While you can see a few ribs, his overall wellness check went well. Tomorrow he’ll begin his deworming and vaccinations, and we’re also working on getting him neutered.

For now, we’re giving him a couple of weeks to decompress, settle in, and finally learn what it feels like to be safe before he officially becomes available for adoption.

Over the last several months we’ve focused on pulling dogs through our amazing rescue partners because shelters and rescues are overwhelmed. But this time, we just couldn’t leave him behind.

He was found abandoned at the Shell on Hixson Pike. One of our residents brought him home, and he’s already making himself comfortable.

He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and quiet. The world has clearly let him down, so he’s a little shy at first—but once he realizes you’re safe, his personality starts to shine.

We’ve had him scanned for a microchip and posted him everywhere we could think of, but no one has come forward.

Until we find him the forever family he deserves, he’ll be surrounded by love at Sacred Hearts, where our women will remind him every day that not everyone gives up on you.

If you’d like to help with his unexpected veterinary expenses, vaccinations, neuter, food, toys, or everyday care, we’d be incredibly grateful.

🐾 Do You Know Me? 🐾

This sweet boy was found two nights ago at the Shell on Hixson Pike. He appears to be under a year old and looks like he’s been well fed, cared for, and loved, so we’re hoping someone is missing him.

We’ll be taking him to be scanned for a microchip as soon as possible. Until then, he’ll be safe and loved in a foster home with Sacred Hearts.

If you recognize this handsome boy or believe he may be yours, please give us a call at 423-206-7324.

Please share to help us get him home. ❤️

🐾 Oreo has spent nearly his entire puppyhood growing up in foster care, and we’d love to see his next chapter be in a forever home. 🖤🤍

At just 4 months old, Oreo is a Border Collie/Lab mix with the sweetest, gentlest personality. He’s the kind of puppy who’s happy just being by your side and has never met a stranger.

Oreo has been fostered in our recovery homes, Sacred Hearts, which has helped him become an incredibly well-socialized, adaptable puppy. He’s used to different people, routines, and environments, making him a great fit whether your home is busy and active or quiet and laid back.

✨ Oreo is:
🐾 Potty trained
🐾 Kennel trained
🐾 Knows sit and shake
🐾 Great with other dogs
🐾 Wonderful with kids
🐾 Gentle, calm, and affectionate
🐾 Comfortable with change and new environments

Oreo is adoptable through Tennessee Blue Nest Rescue, and his adoption includes:
✔️ Vaccinations
✔️ Deworming
✔️ Microchip
✔️ Pending neuter

❤️ The best part? His adoption has been completely sponsored, so there is no adoption fee. All you have to do is apply.

Every puppy deserves a family to grow up with, a place where they’re loved unconditionally, and a home to call their own. Oreo has spent his first four months waiting for someone to choose him. We hope his wait is almost over.

If you’re interested in meeting Oreo, please call 678-769-0468 or 423-206-7324 to schedule a meet and greet.
