Project Angel Gowns of the South

Project Angel Gowns of the South Project Angel Gowns is transforming donated wedding dresses into angel gowns for babies that never ma each year.

Project Angel Gowns of the South is a nonprofit, charitable organization dedicated to providing appropriately sized Angel Gowns to hospitals in the South at no charge, for families who have suffered the loss of a child through pregnancy or premature infant loss. We aim to improve the quality of bereavement support by providing tiny, custom sized Angel Gowns uniquely designed from donated wedding d

resses. Fifteen to twenty percent of pregnant women personally experience a miscarriage in the U.S. One in 200 pregnant women experience a stillbirth. About seven in 1000 babies die before their first birthday. Countless others watch as their friends and family go through these losses. Our ‘stitched with love’ Angel Gowns, tell parents that someone understands their child existed, that they are special, loved, real, and that they matter. The love that goes into these Angel Gowns tells a grieving parent that someone understands that their loss is tremendous.
