“Bridge gives you the specialness that you want and it’s very peaceful,” shared Jayden, 9th grader and 3.5 year Bridge Outdoors veteran.

Jayden and his 65+ Bridge Outdoors friends THANK YOU for an amazing 2025, filled with more than 100 adventures and the growth that comes from exploring our local mountains, caves, creeks, rivers, greenways, horse farms, and bike trails. We appreciate our community for making this program possible because community is what makes these adventures so special.

No matter what today holds, we wish you peace, joy, and love this Christmas season and into the New Year. Stay tuned next week for a year-end recap. Until then, merry, merry!

Thank you so much to Executive Director, Eliot Berz, from Tennessee River Gorge Trust for taking this group of Bridge Outdoors high schoolers for a cruise on the Trust’s boat, GORGEous. We spent the afternoon searching for wildlife, learning about the importance of conservation, and talking about the practice of slowing down enough to make careful observations like finding the nests of belted kingfishers on the river bank and of tiny hummingbirds in the trees!

We had so much fun partnering with our friends from Outdoor Chattanooga. Will and Autumn met us at Big Soddy Creek Gulf to teach our 8 summer interns about macro-invertebrates and how their presence can be indicators of healthy water. We found all kinds of creatures and enjoyed swimming before the summer rain came!

Shout out to our community partners at Southeast Conservation Corps! They have been doing rock solid conservation work and increasing access to the outdoors for more than a decade. To top it off, they provide a workforce development pipeline for many young people, including some of our long-time students like Iyanna, who is working on this current crew. We are grateful for their leadership and hard work. Go Iyanna and go Crew 942!

Last Saturday, our March 4ward celebration at Booker T. Washington State Park was a beautiful gathering of the Bridge Outdoors Family, comprised of students, staff, volunteers, and community partners who love spending time together and nurturing outdoor adventure, healthy community, skill-building, and inspiration.

As we remembered visionary Ryan Keller, we felt gratitude for the desire he had to provide these opportunities for more kids and his legacy that continues as we march forward into each new day.

Special thanks to our sponsor Tennessee Valley Authority and community partners White Oak Bicycle Co-op, SORBA Chattanooga, Reflection Riding, Chattanooga Zoo, California Smothered Burrito, and First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga for helping us create a magical day of fun and good memories for our students and families.
