The McNabb Center is the region’s leading nonprofit provider of mental health, substance use, social and victim services. By focusing on an individual’s “Well Mind, Well Being,” we provide a quality and compassionate approach to care from infancy through adulthood. Since 1948, the Center has proudly served individuals with the most needs and fewest resources. Today, the McNabb Center delivers support to more than 30,000 people throughout East Tennessee each year.

Today, McNabb Center staff attended the Community Resource Fair hosted by Hamilton County Schools’ Families in Transition program!

The event brought together community organizations and truancy officers to share resources, strengthen partnerships and help connect students and families experiencing homelessness, housing instability and other barriers to school attendance with the support they need.

We are grateful for the opportunity to share information about our services and connect with community partners working to support students and families across Hamilton County.

More than 1 in 3 women and more than 1 in 6 men experience sexual or physical violence by an intimate partner during their lifetimes, according to the CDC.

This is why, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we are raising awareness, supporting survivors and reminding our communities that help is available.

Throughout October, the McNabb Center is proud to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month and stand with survivors, advocates and community partners working to end domestic violence.

We are grateful to our local leaders and partners across East Tennessee who continue to raise awareness, support survivors and strengthen resources for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence. Your partnership helps create safer communities and reminds survivors that help and support are available.

Thank you to Mayor Tim Kelly, Judge Rob Philyaw, Mayor Indya Kincannon, Chris Cutshaw Hamblen County Mayor and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for standing with the McNabb Center and helping bring greater awareness to domestic violence throughout our communities.

McNabb Center staff in Hamilton County recently attended a Domestic Violence Awareness Month Proclamation Reading hosted by the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults.

The event recognized the men and women who helped establish our community’s Domestic Violence Shelter 40 years ago, as well as elected officials who have taken a stand against domestic abuse.

As we recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month throughout October, we are grateful for the advocates, community partners and leaders who continue working to raise awareness, support survivors and help create safer communities. 💜

It was a great day for a trip to the zoo! 🦁🐘

Our ILS and Supportive Housing teams in Hamilton County recently enjoyed a day at the zoo with a group of clients served through our Supportive Housing program.

Outings like these provide opportunities to connect, build relationships and enjoy meaningful experiences together in the community. We’re grateful for our staff who help make days like this possible!

🎄 Dear Santa is about more than gifts. It’s about making the holidays brighter for the children and families we serve.

Hear from Chris, a McNabb Center client, as he shares what the Dear Santa program has meant to him and his family.

For more than 30 years, the McNabb Center’s Dear Santa program has provided holiday gifts to individuals served by the Center. Last year alone, nearly 3,100 children and families across East Tennessee received gifts and holiday cheer thanks to the generosity of our community.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, support survivors and remind our communities that help is available.

McNabb Center’s Lacy Bradley, Director of Victim Services, received a proclamation from Knox County Mayor Betsy Henderson recognizing October 2026 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We are grateful for this recognition and for the continued efforts across our community to raise awareness and support those impacted by domestic violence.

The McNabb Center is here to help. We provide comprehensive domestic violence services for individuals and their children experiencing abuse, with a focus on providing safety, support and resources to those affected by violence in their homes.

McNabb Center’s Gayle Lodato recently served as a co-presenter at the Regional Health Council’s Addiction and Dependency Committee Meeting, where she shared more about the Center’s partnership with the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

Through this collaboration, McNabb Center works alongside the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and Quality Correctional Health Care to provide voluntary medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and therapeutic support to individuals in the jail who are experiencing opioid and substance use challenges.

The program focuses on providing individuals with tools and support for recovery while helping build connections that can continue as they transition back into the community.
