Troop 280 Chatham Troop 280 is a Scouting America Troop made up of ALL girls. Ages 11-17 are welcome. If you have questions, please reach out to us at [email protected]

Our Scouts are from Chatham, Basking Ridge, Berkeley Heights, Livingston, Madison, Mountainside, New Providence, South Orange and Summit. Troop 280 is an all-female scout troop based in Chatham NJ with members from Chatham, Summit, New Providence, Berkeley Heights, South Orange and other local communities. We aim to build a community of outstanding scouts who have fun, develop as leaders, contribu

te to their community, learn new skills and enjoy the outdoors. Founded in 2019, Troop 280 has over 50 active scouts and nine Troop 280 scouts have earned the coveted rank of Eagle. Scouts have opportunities to participate in camping, hiking, backpacking, canoeing, service projects and community service. Scouts also participate in organized events like summer camp, BSA high adventure experiences, and National Scout Jamborees.

Our happy, healthy way to kick off your 2026 - join us for the 6th Annual First Day Walk - New Year's Day through Loantaka Reservation and Giralda Farms Preserve!

Your $10 supports local conservation projects and you receive a gorgeous pin. Buy your ticket in advance to reserve a pin below and come any time between 11am and 3pm to pick it up and be directed on your walk by the amazing girls of Troop 280!

Pets welcome! The 2.5 mile walk starts & finishes at the Loantaka Reservation parking lot on Loantaka Way (close to 195 Loantaka Way, Madison, NJ).
