One of our favorite things is when kids are passionate about helping other kids.
Middle school student Keller Hoff recently chose the CHS Care Team as one of the two organizations she wanted to help with her Black Belt project for Impact Martial Arts. Keller collected 26 jars of salsa, 26 pizza dough packets and sauce jars, 56 jars of pasta sauce, 16 bags of chips, and added 26 Parmesan cheese shakers for the pizza/ pastas. Thank you so much, Keller! You are making a meaningful impact and helping other kids have enough food this summer. ❤️

With just a month left until summer vacation, the Care Team is getting ready for our summer food packing and deliveries, and we need your help! Summer can be an especially difficult time for families who struggle with food insecurity because their children don’t get the free breakfast and lunch they rely on during the school year. The Care Team packs and delivers groceries and household items to all of our families once a month throughout the summer, hoping we can help fill in some of the gaps. To everyone who donated food, gifts, and time to make our Winter Break deliveries possible…. THANK YOU! Thanks to your generosity, our families received:
-3 bags of shelf stable food
-3 bags of fresh food
-a soft blanket and a gingerbread house kit (thank you Lakeside Church!)
-a bag of holiday treats
-a gift for every member of the household!

The families were so grateful and the kids were so excited when we delivered the bags. You made the holidays much brighter for 27 students and their families. What a gift! ❤️

Our Winter Break bags and gifts will be delivered today! We want to say a huge thank you to our generous and thoughtful students. The CHS Dance Team and Girls Basketball team adopted dozens of Care Team family members, then shopped for and wrapped their gifts. These girls have the biggest hearts! 💗

Want to shop for a good cause this Black Friday? Many of our Care Team families cannot afford to buy gifts for the holidays, so we ask for their “wishes” each year so we can help. Normally our amazing Dance and Girls Basketball teams are able to fulfill all of the wishes, but the need is so great this year that we need extra help. If you would be willing to make someone’s holiday wish come true, please sign up to purchase them a gift. They (and we) would be so grateful! 💗
