Handweavers in Charlottesville, VA We began with 22 Charter Members and have continued to add to our numbers ever since.

Members from Charlottesville and the surrounding counties represent all levels of weaving skills from beginning weavers through production weavers and weaving instructors. We welcome all who have an interest in any aspect of weaving from collectors to weaving students to professional weavers. Please join us if you have an interest in weaving!

Our Story

We are pleased to announce the formation of Central Virginia Fiberarts Guild in January 2018, and we'll be open for new memberships around February 1st.

The new guild is being formed by members of Albemarle Handweavers Guild, Charlottesville Fiber Arts Guild, and Whirling Whorls Fiber Arts to provide a single guild with a focus on all fiber arts disciplines and artists/crafters, at whatever skill level – from beginners to professionals.

We welcome you to become a member! Whether you are a weaver, spinner, knitter/crocheter, dyer, felter, quilter, basket maker, sock machine knitter, braider, beader, or embroiderer, please join us for informal craft-ins, educational programs, dye days, workshops, and special events.
