In the Ready Region Blue Ridge region, we experience an immense shortfall when it comes to both childcare slots and trained staff. Providers often can’t accommodate the demand due to workforce needs or space and/or financial limitations.

Visit readyregionblueridge.org to learn more about how our work helps to decrease this number as much as possible.

The RRBR VQB5 team recently hosted an Observer Conference to prepare our CLASS Observers for FY27. The conference included professional development, collaboration, a review of observation expectations and protocols, and opportunities for observers to connect and learn from one another before the new observation cycle begins.

We were also honored to welcome Bridget Hamre as our keynote speaker. She presented on the "Superpowers of CLASS Observers," inspiring attendees to think beyond scoring and highlighting the powerful role observers play in improving classroom interactions and supporting positive outcomes for young children.
