Shout out to Andi Stewart from the American Red Cross of Bluffton, SC.

She volunteered to help Hugaroo do an inventory of hugs.  Who does that?

She donated 3 and a 1/2 hours of her time, worked hard during toasty conditions and never complained.  She was heard to exclaim “No, NO”! to the bags of animals when they would begin to avalanche.

When I was tired, she bolstered me.  If she had not been there, I would still be there…

These beautiful ladies of the Douglas County National Charity League (moms and daughters) prepared 700 new stuffed animals in a little over 2 hours to be delivered to children in local hospitals who need a hug. Gratefully shared by Hugaroo’s Colorado regional director, Vicki Alfano.

Today Hugaroo started at 10am to 12n with 11 volunteers followed by 9 volunteers from 12n to 2pm for our monthly Tag & Bag and prepared a record breaking 1,607 new stuffed animals for children experiencing a life-threatening illness, traumatic event and/or at risk located in the Charlotte Metrolex. These hug volunteers rock!!! Thanks to Board member, Kevin and Board Advisor Mike Harper for doing all the behind the scenes to make the event run smoothly! “Because Every Child Needs a Hug!”

Sigma Gamma Rho sorority hosted Hugaroo for a Tag and Bag today in Beaufort, SC. Thanks to the group, 370 “hugs” were prepared for delivery in the Lowcountry of SC.

It was a pleasure to work with this amazing group of young women! I endorse their succession planning and their community service.
The Rhosebuds, the 8 year olds, whom they refer to as “the littles”, stole my 💜
