Sometimes faith means saying yes
before all your questions are answered.
Let’s break down Hebrews 11:8.

“It was faith that made Abraham obey when God called him to go out to a country which God had promised to give him. He left his own country without knowing where he was going.”

…IT WAS FAITH THAT MADE ABRAHAM OBEY…

Abraham believed God, so he did what God asked him to do. Sometimes you show your faith by taking one small step,
even while part of you still feels unsure.

…WHEN GOD CALLED HIM TO GO…

God asked Abraham to leave the place and life he already knew. Leaving what feels safe can be hard,
especially when you don’t know what will happen next.

…WITHOUT KNOWING WHERE HE WAS GOING…

Abraham started the journey
before God showed him the whole plan.
You may not have every answer today,
but you can still trust God with the step in front of you.

You may not feel strong today,
but you still have another step in you.
Let’s break down Habakkuk 3:19.

“The Sovereign Lord gives me strength.
He makes me sure-footed as a deer
and keeps me safe on the mountains.”

…THE SOVEREIGN LORD GIVES ME STRENGTH…

Habakkuk wasn’t having an easy day.
Things around him were falling apart.

Still, he knew he didn’t have
to find all the strength inside himself.
God would give him what he needed.

…HE MAKES ME SURE-FOOTED AS A DEER…

Think about a deer walking across steep, rocky ground.
It knows where to place its feet.

That’s the picture here.
God helps you take the next step,
even when the road feels shaky.

…AND KEEPS ME SAFE ON THE MOUNTAINS…

The mountains didn’t suddenly disappear.
Habakkuk still had hard ground to walk through.

But he knew he wasn’t walking it alone.
God was with him there.

Prayer may be part of your day,
but are you really paying attention?
Let’s break down Colossians 4:2.

“Be persistent in prayer,
and keep alert as you pray,
giving thanks to God.”

Some days, prayer comes easily.
Other days, you’re tired, distracted,
or wondering if anything is changing.

Paul’s words are simple: keep praying.
You don’t need perfect words.
Just keep coming back to God.

…KEEP ALERT AS YOU PRAY…

It’s possible to pray while your mind is somewhere else.
Paul is saying, “Stay awake. Pay attention.”
Talk honestly with God about what’s really happening
in your life and in the lives of the people around you.

…GIVING THANKS TO GOD…

And while you’re asking God for help,
don’t miss what He’s already doing.
Maybe today’s gift is small.
A kind word, enough strength for this morning,

Let’s break down Micah 7:8.

“Our enemies have no reason to gloat over us.
We have fallen, but we will rise again.
We are in darkness now,
but the Lord will give us light.”

Their enemies thought God’s people were finished.
But God was still working.

People may see your hard time,
but they can’t see what God will do next.

…WE HAVE FALLEN, BUT WE WILL RISE AGAIN…

God’s people had made wrong choices.
They admitted their fall,
but they trusted God to help them rise.

We can admit our mistakes
and still begin again with God.

God’s people couldn’t see a way forward,
but they believed God would guide them.

When you don’t know what to do,
ask God to show you the next right step.

Some days, holding on feels harder than it sounds.

You may pray and still see no change.
This verse doesn’t pretend waiting is easy.
It tells you not to let go of the hope
you have placed in God.

Your hope isn’t based on everything going
the way you planned.

It’s based on who God is.

but finishing it can feel much harder,
so let’s break down Philippians 1:6.

“And so I am sure that God,
who began this good work in you,
will carry it on until it is finished

You may think everything depends on you.

But Paul reminds us that God is the one
who started this work.
He’s helping you grow,
even when you can’t see much progress yet.

…WILL CARRY IT ON UNTIL IT IS FINISHED…

God doesn’t begin working in your life
and then walk away halfway through.

You may still have things to learn
and places where you need to grow.
That doesn’t mean God has given up on you.

but listening is part of prayer too.
Let’s break down Psalm 85:8.

“I am listening to what the Lord God is saying;
he promises peace to us, his own people,
if we do not go back to our foolish ways.”

…I AM LISTENING TO WHAT THE LORD GOD IS SAYING…

Sometimes you pray, but your mind is still racing.

You’re thinking about the problem, the next step,
and everything that could go wrong.
This verse reminds you to slow down
and make room for what God is saying.

…HE PROMISES PEACE TO US, HIS OWN PEOPLE…

God is not trying to add more fear to your life.

He wants to lead you toward peace.
The problem may still be there,
but you don’t have to let fear make every decision.

This part is hard, but honest.

You can ask God for peace and still return to the same habits,
anger, or choices that keep pulling you away from it.
