It's with a heavy heart that we announce the recent passing of Bill Ketring, a volunteer for over 30 years with COK and a U.S. Navy Veteran. Bill attended our most recent meet at Crowders Mountain, having set controls just the week prior to the event. He was an avid outdoorsman and volunteer at both the Sullenberger Aviation Museum and Char-Meck Parks & Rec, recently performing an invasive species removal at McDowell Nature Preserve with James Sisk.

Bill was predeceased by his life partner Barbara Scruggs who also volunteered with COK for years. They volunteered with Girl Scouts together, too.

Bill is fourth from the left in the recent Crowders Volunteers photo. Bill's passing is a big loss to the klubb and to his long-time friends.

At this time, no services are planned.
