Looking for sober weekend ideas in Iredell County? Weâve got youâjust some simple, real things you can do that donât leave you feeling rough on Monday.
đł This Saturday is the 24th Annual Statesville Arbor Day Celebration (10 AMâ2 PM at Statesville Park & Soccer Complex). Bring the kids, walk around, grab a free tree seedling, check out Touch-a-Truck, hit the food trucks, and just enjoy being outside with the community. (We heard through the grapevine that the N.C. Forest Service will be there with Smokey the Bear! đĽđť)
â Grab coffee at a local spot and actually sit down for a bitâno rushing, no scrolling, just a chance to slow your mind down. (We're HUGE fans of Lake Mountain Coffee Statesville and Haven Bakery and Coffee!)
đś Take a walk at Lake Norman State Park. Trails, water, fresh airâwhatever pace you need that day.
đ Swing by the Iredell County Public Library. Pick up a book, catch a program, or just sit somewhere quiet for a minute.
đ¤ If youâre looking to give back, the Rotary Club of Statesville has a volunteer opportunity at Chestnut Grove Community Center on April 17th and 18th. A few hours helping out, meeting people, and doing something that actually feels good.
đ˝ď¸ Cook something simple at home or invite a friend over and keep it low-key.
Sobriety isnât about sitting things outâitâs about choosing weekends that feel better while youâre living them and after.
If youâre around Iredell County this weekend, hope you get out a little, connect with people, and take care of yourself in a real way.
