$5 FRIDAY 💙 GOAL: $300

As we welcome new dogs like Charlie and Anubis into the rescue, we’re hoping to get ahead of the medical and care expenses that come with giving these deserving dogs a second chance.

We are incredibly grateful that we can step in and save dogs facing euthanasia deadlines, but we can’t do it without your support. In addition to Charlie and Anubis, we’ve also committed to another dog from Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control that we aren’t able to share publicly just yet.

Every dollar helps provide veterinary care, food, supplies, transportation, and everything these dogs need as they begin their new lives.

From a deadline on his life to zoomies, a freedom ride, and grilled nuggets…we’d say Charlie is having the best day ever! ❤️

We are so grateful we were able to save Charlie with the help of a temporary foster, but we are still urgently looking for a full-time foster to take over and help him continue his journey.

We’re still getting to know Charlie, but here’s what we do know so far:

🐾 Neutered
🐾 Heartworm positive (treatment will be covered by the rescue)
🐾 Would do best in a home with no other dogs (NO intact or dominant males)
🐾 Cat compatibility unknown
🐾 Gentle on a leash, but could use a little practice and confidence building

As we learn more about Charlie, we’ll continue to share updates here. While he isn’t available for adoption just yet, he will be soon!

Excuse me while I update my resume… 🤭

I’ve been working really hard on my “place” command with the help of my foster brother, and I’d say I’m doing pretty great if I do say so myself!

Current skills include:

✔️ Stay
✔️ Come
✔️ Place
✔️ Down
✔️ Amazing recall

Not to brag, but I’m kind of the total package. 💁‍♂️

I’m smart, eager to learn, love having a job to do, and I’m always ready for my next adventure. All that’s missing is a forever family to share it with.

I’ve put in the work…now I just need someone to give me a chance. 🐾❤️

After coming from a difficult situation, Puff has blossomed in foster care thanks to an amazing foster family who gave him the chance he deserved. He’s learned what it means to be loved, safe, and cared for, and now he’s ready for the final step: finding a family of his very own!!

We know his perfect people are out there somewhere. Maybe they just haven’t seen him yet.

HELP US HELP SPOTTIE 💛

Our poor Spottie girl has been dealing with UTI symptoms for several weeks now.

We initially took her to the vet and started her on antibiotics, but unfortunately the medication did not seem to resolve her symptoms. Her first visit cost approximately $180.

Today, we took her back for further diagnostics due to her continued symptoms. We decided to repeat a urinalysis and perform X-rays to make sure she did not have bladder stones and that her bladder appeared normal. Thankfully, her X-rays were clear! 🙌

We are still waiting on the results of her urinalysis to hopefully get some answers. Today’s visit cost $450, bringing her total medical expenses so far to $630.

Unfortunately, we may not be done yet. If her test results show bacteria, she will need additional medication. If the urinalysis does not provide answers, the next step will likely be an ultrasound.

Our goal is to raise at least $700 to cover her current medical bills and provide a cushion in case additional diagnostics are needed. We never want one unexpected medical case to take away from the care we provide for the other dogs in our rescue.

Please consider donating toward Spottie’s care. We know this isn’t the first time we’ve had to ask for help for this sweet girl, but we are hoping it will be the last. In her first six months of life, she has already endured so much, and she deserves every chance to feel her best.

With adoptions and donations being slower than usual, our funds are lower than we’d like, but we will always find a way to make it work for these dogs.

Cosmo is a happy, high-energy boy with a heart of gold! He’s the kind of dog who’s always ready for an adventure, whether that’s exploring a new trail, playing fetch, or simply being by your side.

This sweet guy is learning every day how to just be a dog. He’s discovering the joys of toys, routines, affection, and all the little things that many dogs take for granted. Watching him grow in confidence and personality has been incredibly rewarding!

Because of his energy level and unique needs, Cosmo is looking for a home with someone who understands the German Shorthaired Pointer breed and can help him continue to thrive. He’ll do best with an active family committed to providing both the physical exercise and mental enrichment he craves.
