What’s in a backpack?

Each backpack has been thoughtfully curated based on age and gender. They are broken into six groups: 3-5 Girl and Boy, 6-8 Girl and Boy, and 9-12 Girl and Boy.

The items are as followed:
-Reusable Water bottle( Simple Modern donated 500 for WNC!)
-toothbrush/toothpaste packed in pouch for hygiene
-hand wipes
-crank flashlight
-socks
-playdoh
-fidget toy
-small ball
-coloring supplies (crayon, marker, or colored pencil based on age)
-age appropriate toy (Lego, bead kit, kanoodle, doll, etc)
-age appropriate book

The WNC have included a hat and gloves, but the California bags will include N95 masks.

*backpacks used are dependent on donations so are different colors and designs, but all items are NEW.

The devastation in California is heart breaking. If you’re looking for a place to donate in response to the fires in LA, please consider donating to Back to Play NC(a 501(c)(3)). We will be assembling our bags to send with Heal-Corp, who will be providing frontline medical care to the victims.

The bags are full of items to provide comfort to kiddos who have just endured something unimaginable. Your donation will surely bring a sliver of joy to these kiddos needing so much. 💚
