A legacy built on community, compassion, and care continues through the Ed Dupree Memorial 5K.

Ed Dupree loved supporting local athletes and bringing people together through running. After his leukemia diagnosis, he shared one wish with his family: to create something lasting that would continue helping others for years to come.

Today, the Ed Dupree Memorial Run supports Novant Health Foundation initiatives, including the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House and the Wallace Cancer Center, while also providing scholarships for future student leaders.

The reach of this event extends far beyond race day, helping support care and opportunity for patients, families and students across our community. Thank you to all who came out to support!

Opportunity can change the course of a student’s future.

Through the Novant Health Bridges to Healthcare program, high school students are gaining hands-on experience, mentorship and exposure to careers in healthcare, technology, public safety and more - all made possible through donor support.

From paid internships to immersive learning experiences, students are building confidence and discovering new possibilities for their futures.

We’re celebrating 40 years of care at East Cooper Medical Center and a future that continues to build on that legacy.

With 21 Certified Zero Harm Awards for patient safety and quality in 2024 and continued expansion ahead, including the new Clements Ferry Emergency Department expected in late summer 2026, East Cooper Medical Center’s 40th year reflects both meaningful progress and strong momentum for the future.

Since 1986, East Cooper Medical Center has cared for the Mount Pleasant community, and this anniversary reflects both a proud history and exciting years to come!

A community baby shower can change more than just one day for a family - it can change the start of a child’s life. 💜

At Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center, families received critical baby essentials, connected with community resources, and found support designed to help them thrive. From car seats and travel cribs to food assistance and health resources, every partnership and donation helped meet real needs for parents across our area.

This year’s 25th Annual John A. Campbell Memorial Golf Classic showed just how powerful a community can be when it comes together for a shared purpose.

With the incredible support of our sponsors, golfers, and advocates, we raised $164,522 to strengthen children’s mental health services and early intervention resources for local students and families.

These funds help ensure young people can access care earlier, in places they trust - like their schools - creating stronger foundations for their well-being and future success.

What began as a family’s love for their daughter has become a place of comfort for thousands.

Through our partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Charlotte Caroline’s Corner at Novant Health Hemby Children's Hospital was created to give families a welcoming, home‑like space just steps from their child’s bedside. It’s a place where care, comfort, and hope live every day.

With heartfelt thanks to Ginny and John Comly, Caroline’s parents, whose courage and generosity transformed their daughter’s legacy into something that continues to support families when they need it most.

During Patient Experience Week, we’re sharing Shakeria’s story, which is a powerful example of compassionate, connected care.

While expecting her second child, she faced bereavement, job loss and food insecurity. Through Novant Health’s Maternity Navigator program, she received support, essential resources and guidance from someone who truly listened.

With help accessing food, transportation and basic supplies, a difficult time became one of hope.
