ASID Carolina’s Metrolina Design Community event was a great success! We had an incredible turnout of around 23 attendees at A. Hoke in Charlotte, where Rowley Company hosted an engaging show-and-tell featuring their family of brands and innovative decorative window solutions.

From fully custom finials to the latest trends in window fashions, there was so much inspiration in the room. Attendees especially loved learning about Rowley’s ability to create truly bespoke pieces and got a sneak peek at exciting new technologies coming in 2026/2027.

Grateful for such a curious, engaged group, can’t wait for the next one!

✨ Meet the Board ✨

We’re excited to introduce Kellynn Messel, ASID Carolina’s Communications Director!

A graduate of Anderson University with a BS in Interior Design and an ASID 2024 Ones to Watch Scholar, Kellynn brings both creativity and energy to everything she does. She’s currently a Senior Associate & Interior Designer at LS3P, where her love for maximalist design shines, because when it comes to pattern and color, more is always more 🎨

Outside of design, Kellynn is a proud cat mom to her black cat Jack, an avid F1 fan (Vamos Carlos! 🏁), and happily married to her high school sweetheart. She’s also obsessed with all things Halloween, paranormal happenings, and yes… sharks 🦈

Fun facts? Her great uncle was stuntman Kenny Powers (you might find his stunts on YouTube!), and she’s even done a shark cage dive at the Georgia Aquarium 😱

When she’s not designing, you can find her decompressing through acro yoga 🧘‍♀️

We’re so lucky to have her on the board! 💫

The Joint ASID & NKBA event at CaraGreen in Raleigh on March 18th was an incredible success! With 31 attendees, the evening featured an engaging CEU presentation by Raina Harrel, followed by an inspiring look at CaraGreen’s innovative sustainable product lines showcased throughout the showroom.

Guests enjoyed a delicious Mediterranean spread and went home with a charcuterie board door prize, the perfect finishing touch to a great night of learning and connection.
We were especially excited to welcome a strong group of students from ECU, our newest Educational Partner. Looking forward to more events like this! 🌿✨
