Art Rouse/RCServicesLKN (pictured) was our presenter last week. Art has 52 years of business experience. This includes being project manager for multiple large projects, opening new branches, utilizing spreadsheets, buying materials, and identifying problems and finding solutions. Clients have included Aquesta Bank, CVS, Chipotle, Davidson Cotton Mill, and Covenant Presbyterian Church Education Building (pictured). RSCServicesLKN offers business consulting, and he is a mobile Notary.

Peter Stauner/PlanX Solutions (pictured) was our presenter last week. Peter gave an overview of VoIP for business communications. These are Cloud services that connects voice calls, messages, teams, and customer experiences. These are services that can be used anywhere with 100+ features. This also includes SMS/MMS text messaging that can use a personal business number or the main business number. Every call can be routed to the right place. The outcome is one business communication system that handles voice, text, routing, support, and reporting without making customers chase the right person. And remember to make re-booting part of your regular routine!

Valerie Mano/Fully Promoted (pictured) was our presenter last week. Valerie was raised in Bordeaux, France. She attended Physical Therapy School in Charleroi, Belgium and practiced PT in Font Romeu, France but it “had too much snow”. So she accepted her husband’s suggestion to move to Terre De Haut, Les Saintes in the Caribbean where he ran a restaurant and she continued PT and Shiatsu Message Therapy. In August 2016, they purchased Embroidme Lake Norman which became Fully Promoted Lake Norman February 2019. Fully Promoted is the world’s largest branded product franchise with 1800 stores world wide. They provide embroidery, screen printing, direct to film (dtf), promotional products, and small printing.

Donna Moffett/Donna Moffett Accountants (pictured) was our presenter last week. Donna's topic was “Basis of Inherited Property”. Basis is generally the amount of a taxpayer’s investment in property for federal tax purposes. Basis is used to determine gain or loss when property is sold or otherwise disposed of. Basis also matters for depreciation, amortization, depletion, and certain loss calculations. Property received by inheritance is a key example of property whose basis is generally determined by a rule other than cost. There are numerous considerations including the owner’s state's community property laws.

Dr Jessica Roberts/We Care Chiropractic (pictured) was our presenter last time. Dr Roberts’ previous presentation introduced herself, and this time she discussed the practice. Low back and neck pain are the most common maladies seen by Chiropractic practitioners. Spinal alignment, subluxation, and causes were explained. This includes birth trauma, and Dr Roberts is certified to provide Chiropractic care to infants. Chiropractic care allows the nervous system’s communication with the body to function properly.

Doug and Gina Milana/Transworld (pictured) were our presenters last week. Transworld facilitates the selling and buying of businesses throughout the world. The Milana’s have been with Transworld for 6 years, and have been located in this area since October 2025. During those 6 years, they have sold 51 businesses. If you are considering the sale of your business, it is advised to start the process three years in advance.

Dr Jessica Roberts/We Care Chiropractic (pictured) was our presenter last week. Dr Roberts, our newest member, was born in New Haven, CT and grew up in Charlotte. She obtained Doctorate Degree in Chiropractic from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic and is certified to adjust pregnant women. She has recently opened her solo practice “We Care Chiropractic” in Mooresville. She shared some of her success stories. Her passions are reading, travel, and gardening.

Kim Brannon/Edgewater Residential Capital (pictured) was last week's presenter. A purchaser was interested in a multi-acre property with a home that “needed some work” - so much that the appraiser’s opinion (and others) was that it would be best demolished. However, the purchaser desired to repair it. Kim took us through the steps and requirements to obtain a Renovation Loan for the structure.
