Thankfully, this past Tuesday he received the life changing phone call from Duke University Hospital that they had found him a matching liver for transplant. Wednesday morning at approximately 09:30 he went to surgery to undergo liver transplant. There are a couple of issues that his team of Doctors are keeping a close eye on for the time being. Over the last 6 months the Brumbaugh’s have faced life changing events. In October 2023, David lost his job of 26 years. In November 2023, Crystal suffered a heart attack and had to have a stent placed in an artery. David was in the process of seeking new employment and in December 2023 he became ill and could not secure a new job. In January 2024, David was hospitalized at Caromont Medical Center and the diagnosis of liver disease/failure was revealed. To assist the Brumbaugh's with financial needs, a raffle has been organized. I have attached a copy of the flyer with the items for the raffle and cost of tickets. Also, there is a QR code for the convenience of purchasing tickets electronically. Please review the flyer for additional contact information. The drawing dates will be announced two weeks before the drawing begins. Each winner will be contacted and will have 24 hours to claim their choice of prize.
