We’re excited to introduce something NEW! ❤️🩺

The HEARTest Yard is proud to launch the HEARTest Yard Nursing Scholarship Program, which invests in the dedicated nurses who care for children and adults with congenital heart disease every day.

Each year, two nurses—one from Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital and one from MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital—will receive a scholarship to attend a cardiac conference of their choice.

And we’re covering the experience! The scholarship includes:
✈️ Round-trip flight
🏨 Hotel accommodations during the conference
🎟️ Conference registration fees
🍽️ Meal per diem

Our goal is to support continuing education and professional growth while giving nurses the opportunity to bring new knowledge and innovative practices back to their teams and the heart families they serve.

Applications are NOW OPEN through October 30, 2026! Eligible inpatient and outpatient nurses who have worked within their hospital’s Cardiac Program for at least two years are encouraged to apply.
