BrownGirl, RDH is an organization of donors, sponsors, and dental professionals committed to providing solutions to women’s health issues linked to oral health, eliminating access to care barriers in underserved communities, creating opportunities for economic stability, and building a diverse and inclusive workforce through research, education, development, advocacy and diversity and inclusion. We work to connect donors, sponsors, and dental professionals with projects, programs, and innovative solutions to expand access and provide preventative and treatment services to underserved populations, bridge the gap between women’s health and oral health, and provide support and opportunities to minorities seeking advancement in oral care.

Scholarship Spotlight: Meet Jasmine!

Jasmine Perry is building a new future for herself and her three children.
After more than a decade as a stay-at-home mom, Jasmine returned to the workforce and then to college as she rebuilt her life as a single mother. She completed her prerequisites and chose dental hygiene because she wanted a career that could provide stability for her family while allowing her to remain present in her children’s lives. ❤️
Today, Jasmine is a full-time dental hygiene student, balancing motherhood, academics and clinical training while continuing to move toward the future she envisioned.
Her determination earned her not one, but two BrownGirlRDH scholarships, supporting both her National Board and Clinical Board expenses as she works toward licensure.
In Jasmine’s words, “I’m no longer waiting for life to happen. I’m creating it.”
We’re proud to support Jasmine as she gets closer to becoming a Registered Dental Hygienist.

Meet Faith!

Growing up as a Nigerian girl in America, Faith Boye often felt caught between two worlds. She struggled with fitting in and was teased for her dark skin, experiences that affected her confidence at a young age.
Over time, Faith learned to embrace the very things that once made her feel different. She became proud of her Nigerian heritage, proud of her dark skin and confident in creating spaces where she could fully be herself. ❤️
Today, Faith is pursuing dental hygiene with a goal that goes beyond earning her degree. She wants to improve oral health, contribute to greater diversity within the profession and be a positive example for young patients. As Faith moves closer to licensure, BrownGirlRDH is proud to support an important milestone through a Clinical Board Scholarship.
