What an incredible Easter weekend across all of our campuses! 🌅✝️

We are so grateful to celebrate the hope and joy of Easter together with 1,680 adults and 729 children in worship. Seeing so many lives gathered in faith, community, and celebration is truly inspiring.

An Easter message from Pastor Leon on this Resurrection Sunday!

Easter brings hope and meaning to our lives. Hope, because the event teaches us that death is not the end of life…it’s the beginning of a new life. The Easter event also teaches that no matter how dark and desperate things might be, they will not last forever. We can expect better days to come because of the hope and victory that we have in the One who died and rose again.

We continue to pray for the situation in Haiti, hoping that a new day will come.

We thank the Lord that all the services we offer on our campuses and in our communities are still in effect… souls are being nourished by the Word of God, children are receiving a good and solid education, the sick are receiving treatments, and others are learning skills that will help them to be self-sufficient. All these ministries and others are taking place because of your faithful support, your prayers, and encouragement of all sorts. We pray that this will continue, especially during this difficult time.

Several years ago HOM was able to construct a kitchen on the Barye Fe secondary school campus, making it possible to serve a daily hot lunch meal to these students. However, one thing remained lacking: a designated seating area where students could sit and eat this meal. While the master plan for the Barye Fe campus includes the eventual construction of a dining hall & chapel, security conditions in Haiti have placed that project on hold.

Thanks to our long-time food partner Rise Against Hunger, a wonderful interim solution has been developed. A lunch patio is being constructed that will consist of 36 tables with umbrelllas and benches, providing ample seating for the students to enjoy their lunch.

Construction began in December and is moving along at a terrific pace. The tables and benches have been completed and are now being treated with a weather-proofing finish. An initial supply of umbrellas have been sourced locally, with hopefully more to be found in country.

HOM is deeply grateful to Rise Against Hunger for providing the grant funding to make this project a reality. Thank you for investing in our Barye Fe students' health & well-being in such a significant way!

Thanks to all of our generous sponsors, we met our Giving Tuesday Campaign Match Challenge! We received $9,625 in donations. With the matching funds, we raised $17,125. These funds will go directly towards providing nutritious meals for our students and school staff.

Today is Giving Tuesday, and we'd love your help in keeping our students fed!

Ensuring our students get fed is our number one priority, but the on-going humanitarian crisis in Haiti makes it difficult and expensive. We can no longer rely on shipping prepackaged meals to Haiti. The cost to feed the students has significantly gone up over the past year.
