Juneteenth marks the powerful moment freedom reached our ancestors in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865. It’s a reminder that freedom is not given. It’s fought for, lived out, and celebrated boldly.
We honor our history.

We uplift our culture.

We celebrate Black joy as resistance and legacy. 💚❤️🖤
And here in Charlotte, we’re showing out the EmpowHERment way — loud, proud, and rooted in community! 💥

🖤 Happy Juneteenth, HER family!

Today, we honor the fathers, father figures, mentors, and male role models who show up with strength, love, and unwavering support.
Whether through words of wisdom, late-night talks, school drop-offs, or simply being present, your impact matters.

To every dad teaching his daughter to lead with confidence, to every coach cheering from the sidelines, to every uncle, grandfather, brother, and bonus dad uplifting the next generation of HER — Thank you. 🙌🏾

You are proof that masculinity and empathy can walk hand in hand. That protection and partnership build power. That our girls thrive when our men stand with them. 💪🏾💜

Tag a Father influence who’s making a difference.

“Sometimes you gotta break down the door, not wait for it to open.” – Angela Bassett

In her recent sit-down with Kevin Hart, the legendary Angela Bassett reminded us what it means to be a trailblazer: not just showing up but showing out!
For decades, Angela has kicked through barriers in Hollywood, proving that Black women don’t have to shrink to shine. From her iconic roles to her unwavering grace, she's carved out space where there was none — and made it bigger for those coming behind her. We love to see it!

💫 When Black women lead, they do more than make history…they make space.

This year, A’ja Wilson, Jordan Chiles, and Raquel Willis are honored as TIME Women of the Year 2025 — and each of them reminds us what radical excellence, resilience, and impact truly look like.

🏀 A’ja Wilson is more than a WNBA star — she’s a voice for equity in sports, a champion for mental health, and a beacon for young Black girls who need to see that excellence can come with grace, grit, and joy. Her leadership off the court is as powerful as her dominance on it.

🤸🏾‍♀️ Jordan Chiles, an Olympic gymnast, continues to redefine perseverance. From stepping up for Team USA when it mattered most to now mentoring younger athletes, she’s showing us that legacy is about lifting others as you rise — and embracing your authentic self every step of the way.

✊🏾 Raquel Willis, a Black trans activist, author, and visionary, is courage in motion. She’s pushing conversations around racial justice, gender equity, and trans liberation forward — not just by speaking truth to power, but by embodying it.
At EmpowHERment Inc., we believe in amplifying stories like theirs — stories that remind our girls that they can be powerful, complex, joyful, and free.

These women aren't just making waves — they're shifting culture.

✨ To every girl watching: you are already enough. You are already HER.

Meet Kamora Freeland. At just 17 years old, she’s already made history as the youngest Black female licensed pilot in New York.

But her accomplishments don’t stop at the skies. Kamora is also a certified birthing doula, walking alongside women as they bring life into the world, and a trained lifeguard, protecting and serving her community in more ways than one.

She’s not just breaking barriers—she’s redefining what’s possible.

From aviation to advocacy, Kamora represents a generation of young Black women who are charting their own paths, pursuing their passions, and making impact wherever they go.

Let’s celebrate her journey and continue to amplify stories like hers.

Protecting your peace is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. 🕊️

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to slow down, check in, and prioritize what’s happening within.
Mental wellness isn’t always about being strong—it’s about being honest, gentle, and intentional with yourself.

Today, I’m leaning into calm. Into stillness. Into me.

Repeat after me:
✨ I release what I cannot control.
✨ Peace begins with me.
✨ I honor my need for rest and healing.

“I realized that I don’t have to be perfect. All I have to do is show up and enjoy the messy, imperfect, and beautiful journey of my life.”

– Kerry Washington

We often place so much pressure on ourselves to have everything figured out—to move flawlessly, lead without mistakes, and show only our polished parts to the world. But the truth is, the real transformation happens in the unpolished, the unfinished, the still figuring it out moments.

Every step—uncertain, delayed, or even messy—is part of a becoming.

Perfection isn’t the goal. Presence is.

So here’s your reminder: show up as you are. Keep showing up. That’s enough.

That’s more than enough.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it's a moment to reflect on the courage, commitment, and legacy of those who gave their lives for our freedom.

We remember them. We thank them. We carry their legacy forward.
