On this Purple Heart Day, I want to take a moment to honor the sacrifices made by our brave heroes. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to each of you—both the wounded warriors adorned with the Purple Heart and the dedicated unknown soldiers and advisors who, while not always recognized with medals, have played an essential role in defending our nation.

Let's remember, it’s not about the accolades—it’s about the steadfast commitment to protect and serve our country. Your sacrifices, bravery, and courage embody the spirit of those who stand firm in the face of adversity.

You’ve demonstrated incredible dedication to safeguarding our freedom and security, often placing yourselves in dangerous situations. Each of you has contributed significantly to the mission of peace, and for that, you deserve our deepest respect and appreciation.

From the depths of my heart, I thank you all who have bled for our nation's freedom. Your struggles and victories do not go unnoticed, and I am proud to stand among such resilient souls.

Brothers and Sisters,

As you know, our Afghan allies arrived here in 2021, leaving behind everything they built over two decades to start anew. Nearly five years have passed, and many are still waiting for their green cards, despite their hope and resilience.

Imagine a family of six or seven, where the father works tirelessly and the mother cares for the children. They survive on a single income, barely covering rent and daily expenses. Their only support was food stamps, but now, due to their immigration status, they have lost this vital lifeline. In the current crisis of soaring gas and food prices, one income simply isn't enough.

We have voiced our concerns through media outlets,but sadly, we have seen little action. I am reaching out to all communities across the nation and our partner organizations, churches, to come together and support the Interpreting Freedom Foundation With your help, we can provide food for these deserving families who stood alongside our men and women in uniform.

Please share this message widely. Let us stand in solidarity with those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom.

Today, we celebrate the incredible strength and resilience of women everywhere. Each woman carries a unique story of hope, courage, and love.

As we honor all women, we also extend our heartfelt congratulations to the mothers and fathers our Afghan Allie’s who have faced the pain of separation from their husbands, sons, and daughters for four to five long years. Your unwavering spirit in the face of hardship is an inspiration to us all.

May this day be a reminder of the love that transcends distance and time. Together, let us continue to advocate for reunification and support those enduring such heartache. You are not alone.
