The UNC Charlotte 49er Goldmine Chapter is proud to celebrate the new Fellowmen of the Atlantic Region Undergraduate Chapter! This is a powerful step forward in continuing the legacy, growth, and brotherhood of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship Inc.

Dear Brothers, Familes, and Friends of Groove Phi Groove,

As we enter this season, the conditions faced by many in our communities call for a steadfast response. Groove Phi Groove stands firm against the rising challenges of food insecurity that have emerged from SNAP benefits lapses and pay gaps affecting federal workers and families we serve. In this moment, we are called to action.

With purpose and resolve, Groove Phi Groove will devote its efforts to feeding families through our national initiative, Groove Phi Feeds. Our goal is ambitious: to feed 100,000 families in 100 days. To achieve this, we will collaborate with and support soup kitchens, food pantries, food banks, and community organizations across the nation. Together, we will maximize resources, coordinate efforts, and ensure that no family goes hungry during this critical time.

I ask each of us to dig deep into our hearts and extend a hand of generosity. Your contributions, whether through time, talent, or treasure, will directly impact families in need and reinforce the values that bind us as a brotherhood and a fellowship. Let us embody the spirit of service and solidarity that defines Groove Phi Groove.

In the coming weeks, you will see details about how to participate, donate, and volunteer. Please stay engaged with your local chapters, Regional Directors, and the International Office as we roll out community-driven initiatives, volunteer drives, and donation campaigns designed to maximize impact.

May we move forward with integrity, compassion, and relentless commitment to service. Together, we will feed hope into homes and strengthen the fabric of our communities.

Spring ‘25 may look a little different for the brave, bold, and fearless. Come join us on the campus of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, in the Cone University Center, Room 112 at 8PM. Be ready to learn information about our unique, unapologetically NON GREEK brotherhood. Why try to fit in when you’re born to stand out?

Join us in learning how 14 brothers on the campus of Morgan State University in 1962 sought out to create a movement that challenged the status quo of traditional brotherhoods while addressing the socioeconomic conditions that plagued marginalized communities. If you’re interested and want to know more, come learn and fellowship with us on the campus of UNCC. You could be the next brother of the 49er Goldmine Chapter!

So you might’ve seen us dining on campus with the students. You might’ve seen us at the yard show. You might have even seen us posted up outside the Student Union handing out candy to students passing by.

We’re back! Looking for bright, young and hardworking gentlemen who are open to an alternative to traditional brotherhoods. Feel free to stop by our table on Wednesday & Thursday of next week, February 12th & 13th, from 12pm to 2pm at the University Recreation Center (UREC)!

Come and get to know us and be on the lookout for upcoming events associated with our chapter!

Let us honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Saturday, Jan. 18th during Charlotte’s annual MLK Day Parade. It is important that we remember the life and legacy of a great man—a shining example of the African American’s continual pursuit of freedom, equality, and justice.
