The Wright Altitude

Hey Hey! Great news! Pilots from all across the country have messaged us in support of The Wright Altitude wondering how they can contribute. We have been considering many ideas for future events but will likely wait until spring 2023 for the next large event. Right now we have a list of pilots who are eager to share the confidence building experience of general aviation with youth in their respective areas. Please share and message if you know a kid between 14-18 that would be interested!

We're so excited to announce our next Discovery Flight event is Saturday, April 17th starting at 10am at the Greene County Airport.

We have 4 pilots who have volunteered their time and talents to take 8️⃣ (yes you read that right, 8) children up in the sky and teach them to physically manipulate and control an airplane at 3500 ft. We will also have access to a classroom for weather briefing and flight plan overview. And as an added perk, we will be able to access their flight simulator where the students can practice their takeoff and landing skills before ever setting foot in the plane.

The reason we get so excited during these Discovery Flight events is because we get to show these children that even though things might seem hard or out of their reach, they are completely within their abilities.

We would love to invite you out to join this event. All are welcome! Come meet The Wright Altitude team and our founder, Richard, to see why we are so passionate about this organization and the lives that we hope to inspire.

Thanks to the many people who donated their time, skill and financial contributions to instill these boys with affirmation and self confidence through aviation last month. This month in March we want to push the limit and extend another opportunity to THREE more children between the ages of 14-17 who are at least trying in school. Our goal at The Wright Altitude is to show these kids they’re capable of anything, even flying a plane! Meet Jacob and Jordan, the first co-pilots with The Wright Altitude!

Both of them got to fly an airplane from take off to landing with the help of certified flight instructor Dale Crigger with the Kentucky Flight Training Center.
