Merry Christmas from our families to yours. In the spirit of the holiday, we had some amazingly generous “Needmeeters” donate money to cover 3 nights in a hotel for a newly unhoused couple.

We know that holidays are hard for many who may be away from family or without family at all. We will always aim to ensure people feel cared for and loved. Thank you for allowing us to keep showing up this season and through the year!

It’s GIVING TUESDAY and you have an opportunity to meet needs! Right now, you can donate money for bus passes that will assist those in need with getting to doctor’s appointments, therapy sessions, grocery stores, picking up prescriptions and more!

Something that seems so small for many can make a world of difference navigating the cold weather on foot.

It has been quite awhile since we’ve posted , but we have been permitted to share some amazing news 🎉

If you’ve followed us since the beginning I’m sure you remember this gentleman’s face. After living on the streets for years, we were able to assist him in getting housing. With a job, a roof over his head, and us paying for his transportation to therapy, and for his monthly prescriptions, things were finally turning around. The days of getting robbed at gunpoint were in the rear view mirror.

Then, the housing situation changed. Mold. Roaches. Inoperable plumbing and an unresponsive landlord. Back on the streets started to become more appealing. As hard as it was to see our friend back outside, we know no human deserves to live in such conditions, and with a lack of affordable housing we couldn’t find another place for him to go.
On the streets again, trouble found him. A “friend” learned when pay day hit- then robbed him. A stranger found his tent and stole belongings- including meds he desperately needs daily. Then, he was beat with a baseball bat.

Now, he is safe. Something all of us wanted all along. A new living situation out of the city. A new job. A new hope and newfound faith.

We know his story is still being written, but we are so thankful to those of you whom have helped us meet his needs. Your generosity has made a difference 💜

It’s been a while since we’ve posted but we’re still out here meeting needs! This month alone, a foster parent received clothing and shoes for the kids in her care. Two newly housed neighbors were able to fill prescription medicine thanks to your financial support. Today we were able to get generously donated supplies to one of our contacts with boots on ground in underserved WNC communities. We couldn’t do any of this without YOU!
