❤️ TODAY IS GABRIEL MICHAEL JACOBS DAY IN CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA! ❤️

Today, my heart is filled with gratitude.

Because of the vision and generosity of Dr. DrMildred Summerville, who brought her stage play Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child to Charlotte, we have been given an extraordinary opportunity to honor the life and legacy of my son, Gabriel Michael Jacobs.

Today, the City of Charlotte officially recognizes Gabriel Michael Jacobs Day, which makes my heart so incredibly glad FOREVER!

And I don’t want to simply celebrate Gabe today.

I want us to DO SOMETHING in his honor.

My son Gabriel’s life may have ended far too soon, but his legacy does not have to… it can live on forever!

❤️ TODAY, I AM ASKING YOU TO GIVE.

Gabe’s Heart Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about childhood heart conditions and helping place portable defibrillators (AEDs) in public spaces where children and families gather.

Because when a child’s heart stops, every second matters.

One of the ways we utilize the funds donated is by placing life-saving equipment where it may one day make the difference between life and death.

Barber-Scotia College athletic department Chris V. Rey was the recent recipient of one of our donated AED Defibrillators!

Many of you know that Kim Jacobs is a Mother of Five children. One of her children, Gabriel Michael Jacobs passed away unexpectedly at the age of 12 due to an unknown heart defect that caused sudden cardiac arrest. On this special tribute episode on The Kim Jacobs Show, Mallard Creek Elementary staff and students from 2015, the year Gabriel Michael Jacobs transitioned to Heaven, did a tribute video. Gabe attended Mallard Creek Elementary School from kindergarten to fifth grade. He loved everyone and served as anti-bully mediator. The Principal at that time was Mrs. Natalie Lowe. Joseph Harrison put the video together. Thank you to all of the staff and students that shared your thoughts about Gabriel and how he impacted your lives!

Our goal with Gabe’s Heart Foundation, which is a 501 c3 Non-Profit organization is to raise $20,000. Thanks to some of or our donors, we have been able to place portable defibrillators in public spaces to allow time for the paramedics to arrive when someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest. We are preparing also for our 10 year Gabe’s Heart Foundation 5K walk and we want it to be a memorable occasion this year.
