We’ve got a couple of new friends on the farm! 🐴🐴

These old guys are Banjo & Conway and we are so excited to have them join our farm family. Both are rescue horses and we feel privileged to give them the tender love and care they deserve 💕

How do I tell them the buckets are empty? 👀

GOAT EXPLOSION 💥

In an untimely turn of events, we have had 19 baby goats born in the last 3 weeks. At least…we think it’s 19 🙃

Our first set of twins was born during the ice storm. Our second set of twins was born during the snow storm. And since then it has been an avalanche of “baby bahs” — an official farm term coined by a baby Roan several years ago.

Anyway all this to say, in case you were wondering if things have slowed down over here… they haven’t! Happy Farm Friday, everyone! 🐐🐐

This Valentine’s season turn up the heat 🔥🌲

We don’t know about you, but we spent our snowed in days experimenting with some homemade fire starters. Shredded paper, cinnamon sticks, bits of our beloved Christmas tree and pinecones make a delightful seasonal collage all melted together in pinks & reds.

Only $1/each while supplies last 🩷❤️

Happy St. Lucia's Day! 🕯️ St. Lucia (also called Lucy) was a fourth-century Italian martyr whose name is derived from the Latin "lux", meaning light, and has become associated with winter solstice festivals and celebrations of light.

Before the Gregorian calendar reform in 1752, her feast day occurred on the shortest day of the year (the winter solstice). Hence, there is a famous saying:

"Lucy light, Lucy light,
shortest day and longest night."

St. Lucia Day is especially important in Sweden, where a child (traditionally the eldest daughter) dons a crown of candles and wakes the family with these sweet rolls seasoned with saffron. Lightly sweet, the lussekatter—or S-shaped buns—are best served with coffee. Here's our recipe! 🕯️ Almanac.com/recipe/st-lucia-buns
