The Historic Belmont Foundation (HBF) is a community-based, non-profit preservation organization established in 2014. Our mission is to preserve Belmont's heritage through education, advocacy and community involvement. Although much of downtown Belmont is in a designated National Historic District, this designation provides no protection to the individual properties. Our goal is to be a financial

and educational resource in the event that any historically significant property becomes endangered or threatened.

Spring is in full bloom, and we invite you to enjoy a memorable afternoon on the beautiful grounds of Stowe Manor during our upcoming Sip & Stroll event.

Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with wine, live plein air artists painting throughout the property, and captivating stories from local historians Lucy Penegar and Roland Setzer.

✨ Historic Belmont Foundation Announcement ✨

Historic Belmont Foundation is pleased to share that the 2025 Belmont Letter Girls have officially been selected, and they are thrilled to participate in the Christmas Parade again this year!

This cherished tradition began in the 1950s at Belmont High School and has remained a beloved part of our community ever since. Although the school no longer exists, HBF is proud to sponsor the Letter Girls each year to keep this meaningful tradition alive.

Only high school seniors are eligible, and each candidate goes through an interview process. We look for exceptional young women who are not already represented in the parade through sports, titles, or other groups.

The photos shown here feature the 2021 Letter Girls (now) alongside the 1957 class (then) in front of the former Belmont High School — a beautiful reminder of Belmont’s rich history and lasting traditions.

Historic Belmont Foundation is honored to carry this legacy forward once again in 2025. ❤️🎄
