Zoom test this morning between the East Coast in the US and the Grade 3 classroom at Kajiado Valley School of Excellence on the campus of Kajiado Children's home in Kenya. We will host a call between KVSE 3rd graders and 3rd graders at Meadow School in Baldwin, NY, in mid-May as part of an effort to encourage curiosity and global citizenship!

Several KCH children recently competed in track and field events, some advancing to the next level of competition. Pictured below -- some with coaches, teachers or other athletes -- are Shadrack (top left), James (top right) Marion (bottom left), Peris (bottom right), and Hellen (center).



Shadrack competed in the 400m and relay events for the inter-school competition, demonstrating strength and teamwork. He later progressed to the Zonal competitions on March 17 an the Sub-County competition on March 19.



James took part in the 100m race at the inter-school level, where he demonstrated good effort and sportsmanship. He advanced to the Zonal competition held on March 17 at Olkejuado Primary Boys School (OPBS).



Marion participated in the 100m race on March 13 at KCB Grounds, demonstrating speed, confidence and determination. She progressed to the Zonal level held on March 17 at OPBS, gaining valuable competitive exposure.



Peris participated in the 4x100m relay and demonstrated strong teamwork and speed. She progressed to the Zonal competition on May 17, held at OPBS, where she continued to build her experience in team events.



Hellen participated in both the 100m and 200m races during the inter-school competition, showing speed and confidence. She progressed to the Zonal level held on March 17, at OPBS, advanced to the Sub-County competition on March 19, and qualified for the County Level meet March 22-24, marking a significant achievement in her athletic journey.

We're celebrating student Sara on her accomplishment and thanking our sponsors whose support helps our KCH kids achieve their dreams.

Sara recently completed her computer studies training during January- February intake at Kajiado Solar Community Hub, where she worked hard to learn important digital skills. Her dedication and effort paid off as she was awarded the ICDL Profile Certificate, recognizing the computer competencies she successfully achieved.

In addition, Sara was awarded a laptop to support her continued learning and practice of the computer skills she has acquired.

This opportunity has greatly encouraged Sara and strengthened her confidence. She is excited to continue learning and to use these skills to support her education and future goals.

We have a fabulous update from Kajiado Children's Home about one of our "kids," Leisanka:

"Earlier this year, Leisanka joined Maasai National Polytechnic during the January intake to pursue a Certificate in Plumbing. It has been encouraging to see him settle into college life and begin learning the technical skills required in his field.

"Recently, we received a moment that truly encouraged us. During his practical sessions, he has started gaining hands-on experience, working on the installation and alignment of plumbing fixtures together with fellow trainees. Seeing him confidently engaging in these practical lessons reminded us how meaningful it is when young people are given the chance to pursue skills that can shape their future.

"Moments like these quietly reflect the impact of your support. Because of your generosity, he is not only attending college but also developing practical skills that will equip him for independence and meaningful work in the future.

We would like to welcome If My People Worship Center (Charlotte, NC) to the Kajiado family in March 2026! They recently collected 395 pairs of socks and 84 pairs of girls’ underwear for our mission teams to carry to Kenya in our luggage. Plus, they will sponsor one of our high school students! We are God’s people doing God’s work. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Because of you, children who were almost left behind are now sitting in class, learning, dreaming, and believing again.

This term, through Namanga Hope Center (NHC), 84 children are in school ,not because life was easy, but because someone chose to care. Some of these children woke up not knowing if they would return to school.
Some had uniforms but no fees.
Some had dreams but no one to walk with them.
And then, Hope for Kajiado stepped in.
Now:
- 72 children are in primary school
- 12 students are in senior school
- 9 brave students have joined Grade 10, a milestone that once felt impossible
Every number carries a story.
Every story carries tears, prayers, and quiet miracles.
Thank you for standing with the vulnerable.
Thank you for believing in children who had almost lost hope.
Thank you for proving that love, when put into action, changes lives. May God bless you for being the hands that lifted these children when they needed it most
