My USC Sports Analytics Summer Camp in Los Angeles for HS students that I have every summer is in the books. This camp is designed to give underrepresented HS students & all students a chance to learn about sports analytics from some of the best in the industry.

What was one of the reasons that made this camp so special? It was the first time that there were just as many girls registered at the camp as guys. That says a lot since the sports analytics industry mostly consists of men.

This is the only sports analytics camp in the country that is absolutely FREE. No financial barriers for kids & their parents to worry about..Just come, learn, & enjoy. Next summer camp stop? NYC at Columbia University!

As our free Sports Analytics Summer Camps for HS students get started this month, here's our next 60-second edition of our "Sports Camp Talk" series where we hear from some of the top sports professionals that have been guest speakers at our Sports Analytics Summer Camps.

Next up: thoughts from ESPN’s Color Commentator, Reginald Walker on the importance of using advanced stats during a live broadcast. Reggie is one of the only sports broadcasters in the country that provides color commentary for multiple sports (football & basketball). He's an Emmy Award winner for a reason. We are excited to have him back this summer as well!

We're thrilled to officially announce the Bay FC Analytics Mentorship Program. This program, cultivated in a partnership between Bay FC and Strength in Numbers, was designed to increase opportunities for women, first-generation students, and underserved groups in the sports analytics industry.

Ten outstanding college students in the Bay Area were selected out of 100+ applicants. These ten students attend the following universities: Stanford University, Santa Clara University, University of San Francisco, University of California, Berkeley, and San José State University.

This program would not be possible without the incredible Bay FC Analytics Staff (Arielle Dror, A.J. Barnold, and Rachel Comfort). The opportunity they are giving these students is invaluable.

A sincere thanks to first-class organizations like Bay FC for giving these students a chance to gain real-world experience and showcase their skills in the sports analytics industry.
