What started as an dream to pour into Shine Teens and their moms rippled into a more than we could have ever hoped or imagined ✨

Entrepreneurial souls who contributed as sponsors and vendors. Co-laborers in love with faithful, servant hearts. Women in different seasons and from different walks of life — and a few men providentially woven into the tapestry of our mission.

One of the sweetest unexpected moments? Future Shine Teens 🤍

Our children, who we expected to play in a nearby playground were drawn in by the praise, the joy, the presence of the Holy Spirit. Our souls intuitively know what they were created for ✨

This mission is quickly becoming a movement, and watching people rally around it has been one of the greatest gifts.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, gifts, prayers, encouragement, and energy to make this night possible 💖

Getting to reflect on them afterward ✨

The moments become memories — etched a little more deeply into our hearts each time we revisit them 🤍

We try our best to capture moments during Shine events. But every so often, we leave it to professionals to stay fully present — Behind the Shine was one of those times 💫

And wow… are we grateful we did.

It was so special to witness Shine Teens and their moms grow closer to each other and to the One who knit them together.

To the team at thank you for preserving this beautiful chapter of the Shine Teens story for years to come — and for the reminder that when we plug into the source of light, we shine with a grounded glow 🔌✨

These may look like beautiful pictures captured during a photoshoot by the talented .. and they are 📸

What they reflect goes beyond what you can see on the surface. They capture bonds formed by Shine Teens, from 7th–12th grade, who might not have otherwise crossed paths.

They're leaders, who consistently show up, lean in, and commit to shining bright and spreading light within the Shine Teens community and beyond ✨

On the final day of our retreat, we gathered together to read the Book of James. In addition to so . many . nuggets of wisdom 💥 James talks about a farmer patiently and faithfully tending to a field — tending, trusting, watering, waiting, and allowing God to do what only He can while (hopefully!) growth takes place under the surface 🌱

God willing, eventually, fruit is produced.. and the purpose of fruit — is to nourish others.

WELL God is moving, the fruit is fruiting, and I'm so encouraged and inspired by the growth within these beautiful souls, during our second retreat together.

It's harvest season.. just in time for our summer Bible studies 🌾 Details coming soon ⏳⛪️🌟

At Shine Teens, our motto is simple but powerful: Shine Bright, Spread Light ✨

Because bright light doesn’t just flicker — it ripples outward. It warms hearts and spaces. It multiplies 💫

Once per year, we gather our Advisory Council for a "Sunlight & Shine Bright" leadership retreat — to intentionally pour into the girls who pour into this beautiful community ☀️

Girls poured into girls. Women poured into women. And everyone left a little lighter than they arrived ✨

Still floating on a cloud after last night ✨

Our first Behind the Shine worship event was everything we prayed for and more 🤍

The presence of God was tangible. Hearts softened. Voices lifted. Tears flowed. Hugs lingered. Worship filled the barn and love filled the space ✨

One of our biggest prayers going into the night was that hearts would leave full — overflowing into the community in a way that glorifies Him 💫 And the messages we’ve received today? Answered prayers.

What a gift it is to witness moms and daughters growing closer to each other and to the Lord 🤍 There is something so powerful about women gathering with one unified purpose: to draw near to Him ✨

Huge thank you to Holly, Mike & Sarah for leading us so beautifully in worship and encouragement 💖 And thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, vendor, prayer warrior, mama, and Shine Teen who made it so special. A labor of love and a ripple of light ✨

Shine bright. Spread light. IN ACTION 💫

Today, Shine Teens served at the Union County shelter, organizing the Home Away warehouse and completely transformed the space, together 🪄

Working together, they multiplied their light bringing order, intention, and care to a space that will now more effectively support those who need it most.

Built new connections, made new memories, and shined with the giver’s glow ✨

Today was living proof that light shines in the darkness 🤍
