Developing & Building A Virtual Memorial

A virtual memorial is an online place where we can remember the lives of loved ones; their acts of love, their creativity, their sense of humor, their uniqueness.

Flowers have long been used to commemorate an event, an occasion, a person, a death, a tragedy; like the red poppy that honors those that served and were lost in World War I, and other symbols like the red ribbon as an emblem of support for AIDS victims. The yellow calla lily is a tribute, a physical symbol giving homage to those lost to the Pandemic.

This virus has taken the lives of thousands of front-line workers, especially medical and hospital personnel, nurses, EMTs, doctors, nursing home staff, and others, who have dedicated, and in all too many cases given, their lives to the health and well being of our communities.

We have lost essential workers who ran into the storm to care for others inflicted with this virus. As a dedication to all the medical front line workers, we have designed a special emblem to honor and show respect for all their efforts and sacrifice.

The National Pandemic Memorial of America was conceived by volunteers who share a desire to create remembrances for those lost to this pandemic.

Volunteers are driven by the desire to contribute to the healing of our families, our communities, and our nation at a time when this disease, and its’ devastation, have broken bonds among many of our citizens and our nation.

We seek to ensure that future generations learn from the lessons of this pandemic and to build on that knowledge to confront new pandemic and medical challenges.

This project will succeed with your help and donations; it is a work in progress and welcomes those who can help make this memorial, its’ programs, and this remembrance, a reality.
