✨ Hey Teachers, this is Sonya, Founder of The Teacher’s Resource ✨
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been listening closely to your responses about what self-care really looks like. One teacher shared something that I know so many of you can relate to:
“A lot of my colleagues are simply tired and exhausted. There is so much work and so little time, with fewer staff to share the load. We need ways to truly unwind without the pressure of endless evenings and weekends.”
That hit home. And it made me think: what would it look like if teachers had spaces to exhale, with no pressure, no grading, no rushing… just rest?
Here are a few ideas we’re shaping — and I’d love your feedback:
⸻
1. “No-Work” Self-Care Days
A day where you don’t have to plan, grade, answer emails, or even think about school. You just show up, breathe, and are fully catered to.
2. Teacher Relief Squad
A team dedicated to lightening your load. Volunteers stepping in to handle small but time-consuming tasks like making copies, organizing materials, or even short class coverage — so you can take a true break.
3. Community Care Pods
Small groups of teachers connecting regularly for rest, laughter, and support. Each pod would have a little “care budget” to spend on whatever helps you exhale — a meal together, an activity, or just quiet space with friends who understand.

💭 Teachers — when you read this, what makes you exhale and say, “Yes, I need that”? Which of these speaks to you most?
And we would love to hear even more ideas from you — ways that would help with the self-care of your total being. Together, we can create spaces that truly keep teachers going. 💛
